Senior Specialist, Media Relations - interim

Would you like to help shape Pandora’s voice in the media as part of a high-performing, international communications team? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where ambition is high and no two days are the same? Then you might be the Senior Media Relations Specialist we’re looking for.

Help build strategic positions for Pandora in key media

To support and further strengthen Pandora’s global media presence, we are looking for an experienced Senior Media Relations Specialist to join our Global Media Relations & Public Affairs team at our headquarters in Copenhagen on an interim contract running until the end of June 2027.

Reporting to the VP of Media Relations & Public Affairs, you will play a key role in shaping and executing Pandora’s corporate media efforts - both internationally and in Denmark. You will work across company announcements and PR initiatives, including financial communications, sustainability, executive positioning, and issues management, helping to drive Pandora’s visibility and reputation across key news, business, and trade media.

Key responsibilities

You will take both a proactive and advisory role in our media relations efforts, including:

  • Crafting messages, press releases, presentations, and other materials to position Pandora strategically in the media
  • Responding to incoming media inquiries across relevant topics
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with key Danish and international media, journalists, and opinion leaders
  • Proactively identifying news angles and pitching stories to secure high-quality media coverage
  • Preparing briefs and advising executives and spokespeople ahead of media engagements
  • Organising and supporting executive media interviews and press activities
  • Securing and preparing speaking opportunities for Pandora executives at key global events
  • Playing an active role in issues and crisis management – including taking lead on selected topics
  • Supporting corporate storytelling across platforms, including maintaining our LinkedIn presence (content creation and community management)

In this role, you will also act as a trusted advisor internally, briefing and guiding stakeholders across the organisation on media relations matters.

What success looks like

  • Increased and strengthened coverage of Pandora in key media
  • High-quality positioning of Pandora executives in relevant media and global forums
  • Strong relationships with key journalists and stakeholders
  • Effective handling of media inquiries and issues management situations

Your profile

You bring a strong understanding of the PR and communications landscape, along with a genuine interest in business and news media. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, navigate changing needs with ease, and are able to prioritise your tasks effectively.

Additionally, we expect that you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field
  • Relevant experience within corporate communications and media relations (experience from a global or listed company is a plus)
  • Proven experience engaging with media and journalists, including proactive pitching
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with great attention to detail
  • Experience with issues management, ideally within a consumer-facing business
  • A good understanding of the broader business and sustainability agenda
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English (Danish is a big plus)

Who you are

You are collaborative, structured, and highly reliable. You thrive in an environment built on trust and teamwork, and you know how to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a clear overview.

You enjoy working cross-functionally and are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels - including senior leadership.

Did this spark your interest? We hope you feel inspired to apply and we look forward to receiving your application.

Note: This role is based in Copenhagen.
