As a Student Assistant in Strategy and Intelligence within Global Merchandising, you will support the team in strengthening Master Data Governance across product, assortment, and commercial data used across markets and collections. You will assist with data quality controls, governance documentation, data standards, and validation processes to ensure that master data is accurate, consistent, and fit for business use.
Through analytical tasks and cross-team collaboration, you will contribute to stronger data stewardship, transparent governance structures, and improved master data quality, helping enable better decision-making across planning and trade execution.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Support Master Data Governance activities by maintaining, validating, and updating master data in line with defined standards, controls, and business rules
- Assist in monitoring data quality and governance performance through regular reporting, issue tracking, and analysis of master data across key tools and processes
- Monitor data quality, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established governance standards to identify issues and improvement opportunities
- Support the development and maintenance of governance documentation, data definitions, and master data frameworks used across merchandising and trade processes
- Provide analytical and operational support for governance processes, including data issue resolution, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination
- Support data governance activities by coordinating master data requests, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure alignment between data owners, users, and business requirements

Additionally, we hope to see that you can demonstrate
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Data Science and Management or similar
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with master data, identify governance and data quality issues, and translate findings into clear insights and actions
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to data governance, documentation, validation, and process adherence
- Proactive mindset with the ability to support tasks and identify opportunities for improvement
- Teamwork and can-do attitude, taking pride in supporting colleagues and shared goals
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or working with governance reporting and large data sets is considered a plus
- Experience from internships or student positions in international companies, preferably within retail, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG, is a plus
