Are you curious about how generative AI can be applied in real business scenarios? Do you want to experiment, build prototypes, and help shape how AI creates value in a global organization?
We are setting up a new innovation team and are looking for an AI Student Engineer to join us in Copenhagen. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore, experiment, and build early-stage solutions using generative AI, while collaborating closely with data science and ML colleagues across the organization.
You will play a key role in testing ideas, building prototypes, and helping demonstrate the value of AI solutions before they are developed further. The position is flexible, designed for learning and growth, and offers the possibility to transition into a full-time role after graduation.
What you will do
In this role, you will be part of an innovation-focused setup working across teams to explore how generative AI can be applied to real use cases. You will contribute to early-stage experimentation and help bring ideas to life through rapid prototyping.
Your key areas of responsibility will be to:
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using generative AI tools and platforms
- Experiment with ideas quickly to test feasibility and demonstrate value
- Collaborate with data science and ML colleagues across the organization on shared use cases and projects
- Support ongoing experiments and contribute to cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Explore new tools, technologies, and approaches within AI
- Help identify opportunities where AI can create business value
- Learn continuously and develop your skills through hands-on experience with real use cases
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and excited about experimenting with new technologies. You enjoy figuring things out as you go, and you are comfortable working in an environment where not everything is predefined.
You should have a foundational understanding of software development and be motivated to grow your skills further in a practical setting.
Furthermore, we hope to see that you are:
- Currently enrolled as a bachelor or master student with at least two years left of your studies
- Comfortable with software engineering concepts and principles
- Experienced with Python, Node, or similar programming languages
- Curious and eager to experiment, learn, and explore new ideas
- Available around 12–20 hours per week on average, with flexibility around exams
- Fluent in English, which is sufficient for this role (Danish is not required)
It is a plus if you
- Have an interest in generative AI, machine learning, or data science
- Have built small projects or prototypes through your studies or independently
- Enjoy collaborating with others and sharing ideas openly
What you will gain
- Hands-on experience working with generative AI in real business scenarios
- Opportunity to build and test prototypes that contribute to real use cases
- Exposure to collaboration with data science and ML teams
- A flexible role with strong learning and development opportunities
- A pathway to grow into a full-time position after graduation
