Key Duties
New Supplier Qualification
o Responsible for qualifying and onboarding new suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, technical, and regulatory requirements, including plating process qualification
o Conduct supplier facility and Quality Management System (QMS) audits to assess compliance and production readiness, and verify manufacturing capabilities
o Lead supplier assessments, audits, and approval activities using audit checklists, risk analysis tools, and on-site visits as required
o Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute new supplier audit and assessment plans
o Provide and utilize supplier quality performance data to support supplier evaluation and selection
o Provide quality-related inputs to support strategic supplier sourcing and selection decisions
o Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Strategic Project initiatives
o Lead and manage strategic project initiatives (Innovation Board) within Supplier Quality, from concept through implementation
o Drive and execute strategic initiatives with suppliers aligned with business objectives, in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as I&PD, CQ, and Supply Chain
o Define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics for Supplier Quality initiatives, including supplier responsibilities from a quality perspective
o Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports
o Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery of project milestones
o Communicate project progress, key milestones, and performance outcomes clearly and regularly to cross-functional teams and Supplier Quality leadership
o Support innovation in materials, processes, and manufacturing technologies through close supplier collaboration
o Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks across the value chain through strategic planning and effective cross-functional collaboration
o Foster alignment and execution by working closely with suppliers, contract manufacturers, procurement, innovation and product development, consumer quality, and other key stakeholders
Educational background:
Bachelor’s degree or above
Field of study:
(Preferred education) Engineering / Science or related field.
Pivotal and professional qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or related functions or Jewelry industry experience is a plus (strong understanding of Jewelry manufacturing processes, quality standards).
Personal Competencies:
o Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards.
o Proficient in quality core tools such as AQL, Gage R&R, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP; strong data analysis capability is required (e.g., Power BI, Six Sigma).
o Proven expertise in auditing and supplier quality development.
o Ability to proactively identify risks, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
o Demonstrated proficiency in planning, executing, and tracking strategic initiatives and transformation or change projects from concept through Business-as-Usual (BAU).
o Self-motivated, adaptable, and change-oriented, with inspirational leadership and strong facilitation skills.
o Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
