Key accountabilities:
Laboratory Operations & Testing:
• Perform assigned chemical tests and experiments in accordance with approved standard procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely test reports.
• Monitor testing progress and ensure all activities are completed within agreed timelines.
• Handle test samples throughout the testing lifecycle, including receipt, storage, documentation, and disposal.
• Coordinate inter divisional sample handling and tracking.
Method Development & Continuous Improvement:
• Engage in the development and improvement of new and existing test methods.
• Assist in designing experiments, setting control parameters, and identifying opportunities to enhance testing accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
• Participate in pilot projects, system enhancements, or improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Proactively propose innovative testing approaches, workflow improvements, and process optimization ideas.
Equipment, Facility & Compliance:
• Assist with laboratory equipment cleaning, calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain appropriate environmental conditions and ensure the testing area is clean, safe, and well organized.
• Execute testing activities in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
Coordination & Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Coordinate testing activities with cross functional teams, including Crafting & Supply, Supply Chain, Quality, and global stakeholders, to align testing scope and timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers and external laboratories regarding sample submission, testing scope, technical clarification, and follow up actions.
• Participate in external testing activities, including sample submission and result tracking.
Cost & Business Support:
• Assist in testing related cost activities, including data setup, verification, review, and test scope justification in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Engage in business decisions by ensuring testing services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Personal Competencies:
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles
• Willingness to learn new methods, technologies, and systems
• Good communication and coordination skills in a cross‑functional environment
• Proactive, improvement‑driven, and innovation‑oriented mindset
Educational background:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Officer, Chemical Lab
