Supervisor, Chemical Lab

Key accountabilities:

•    Perform tests on incoming jobs independently according to the standard procedures with due consideration of the job priority and record test results in the correct format 
•    Check & review the test reports for both internal & external tests
•    Ensure the laboratory is properly and safety equipped to standard
•    Suggest the test parameters to requestors for any chemical test requisition
•    Keep track on all testing status and ensure the due date is followed
•    Monitor and ensure the test equipment and instruments are in good condition as well as duly calibrated according to the assigned calibration schedule
•    Assist in new test development including identify potential improvement areas to existing testing techniques and design experiment & control testing parameter
•    Corodinate the external testing activities on chemical tests and work closely with external laboratory to align with their capacity and test result planning.
•    Assist to review the regulatory test report from OEM/ODM and give the comment on the obtained test report to SQ
•    Assist in manpower planning, training & development of staff and control the effectiveness and efficiency of workflow systems in chemical laboratory
•    Deploy the way for continuous improvement the workflows/processes.
•    Provide technical support, presentation to demonstrate to all stakeholders. 
•    Execute and follow the relevant compliance regarding the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO/IEC 17025

Qualifications:
•    Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in chemical laboratory
•    Have knowledge & experience of chemical testing method & test equipment
•    Manufacturing, testing laboratory in jewelry industry are preferred
•    Chemical analysis including instrument operation such as ICP, Auto-titration, UV-VIS
•    Quality control and management in chemical laboratory
•    Design experiment and control testing parameter
•    Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 17025
