About the Team:
Pandora is embarking on an ambition path to deliver on our Digital strategy to build an agile end-to-end supply chain delivery. We are embracing a scaled Agile structured around product teams with clear focus on outcomes. Strong and passionate Lead Engineer is a key component of realizing these ambitions. In this newly created role, you will support the shaping of our engineering and software development practices. This is a hands-on technical role, you will help deliver the Continuous Integration and Deployment pipeline, from requirements to specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of the production health. The main outcomes are focused on enabling our engineers to ship high quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support.
The Lead Engineer will be called upon to provide leadership, coaching and motivation to the engineering teams and will need strong communication skills to work closely with the product teams and key stakeholders. You will help deliver quality automated CI/CD pipelines, from early requirements to test and behaviour driven development, whilst maintaining operational stability, high coding standards, together with supporting quality deployments, monitoring of the tech stack and overall production health.
The main outcomes are focused on enabling our engineers to ship high quality products and features with end-to-end ownership from conception to delivery with minimal disruption to the business. You will be a critical part of our engineering chapter, responsible for ensuring quality engineering, reliability, scalability, performance, and robustness of our software products. You will play a critical role in designing and executing engineering standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving a DevSecOps culture towards build and run.
Key Accountabilities:
System Design and Architecture
- Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable integration solutions using .NET technologies and event-driven architecture
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (product mgmt., architects, business analysts) to design and engineer efficient systems that meet business requirements.
Integration Development
- Develop and implement complex .NET-based integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow across various platforms, systems, and applications.
- Write automated, reusable, testable, and efficient code for integrating multiple services, databases, and third-party systems.
- Ensure integration solutions adhere to performance, security, and scalability towards Pandora engineering standards.
- Lead pair programming and code reviews to ensure the code quality and best practices are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement automated testing frameworks and perform unit, integration, and system testing of integration solutions.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation libraries, including system design, integration mappings, API specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
- Lead the optimization of integration processes, making them faster, more secure, and easier to maintain.
Deployment and Operations support
- Oversee the deployment of integration solutions into production environments, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide post-deployment support, join the on-duty engineering roster, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure the ongoing health and performance of integration solutions.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure that integration solutions comply with security standards, privacy regulations, and company policies.
- Implement secure coding practices, data encryption, and secure authentication mechanisms in integrations.
What is needed to succeed
- 5+ years of domain experience in supply chain, warehouse & logistics execution systems
- 5+ years leading scalable software architectures and engineering practices utilizing MACH principals, serverless technologies, container orchestration, API management and microservices framework.
- 5+ years in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, .NET, JSON
- Strong experience with Event Driven Architecture & cloud integration platforms such as Kafka/Solace which processes high volumes of data across the technology stack.
- Strong experience in working and integrating with MQTT, REST APIs, web services and other modernized integration patterns
- Building and orchestrating API standards, publish subscribe, machine to machine network protocols
- Strong software development practices like DevSecOps and CI/CD tool chains
- Supply chain technology experience, around Gartner Tier 1 WMS solutions, in particular Order fulfilment, functional WMS integration flows, configuration and setup is a strong benefit.
- Industry/sector exposure to Global 3PL network, transport and freight forwarders, Omni-Channel Retail, Luxury goods or FMCG industries
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile delivery and Lean methodologies
