Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Integration Services Team consists of 26 passionate professionals dedicated to building secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms that support our global operations. In this role you will report to Senior Engineering Manager based in our Global Office in Copenhagen, cooperate with Architects, Product Managers, Platform Engineers, Security, Application Teams across the organization to drive innovation, reliability, and performance. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and operating high-availability services that empower our global product teams.
What You will Do:
- Design, build, and operate high-availability platform services that support integrations and product teams across Pandora.
- Champion a product mindset—ensuring platform services are reliable, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Embed security and compliance throughout the development lifecycle using DevSecOps practices.
- Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for DevOps, influencing architecture, tooling, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Directors) and external partners (Security, Application Teams).
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance platform performance, developer experience, and operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- Proven track record in building and operating scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, especially within the Azure ecosystem (security, identity, networking, cost optimization).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD pipeline design (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, or similar).
- Solid experience with Kubernetes (preferably AKS), including cluster provisioning, orchestration, and observability.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, and API management (e.g., Kong, Azure API Management).
- Strong background in monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize cloud spend, improve deployment speed, and enhance system reliability through automation.
- A security-first mindset with practical experience implementing DevSecOps and security-by-design principles.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-team technical initiatives—driving DevOps strategy without direct people management responsibilities.
