Pandora has embarked on an exciting multi-year transformational journey to implement SAP S/4HANA as our new ERP to drive our business transformation, together with a new OMNI-channel fulfilment eco-system with warehouse, inventory visibility and transport management. It’s time for us to revolutionise our digital backbone and transform how we deliver and support our business, enabling our customers to give a voice to their loves. 

 

As part of rapidly expanding the Digital Hub in Warsaw, we are searching for an Engineering Manager within the Supply Chain Tech & Business transformation domain. A strong and passionate Engineering Manager is a key component of realizing these ambitions. In this newly created role, you will own the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle practices within the domain. This is a hands-on technical role, with a high degree of collaboration, fostering a high-performing engineering and DevOps culture. Leading by example within SDLC and lift the maturity in quality engineering and raise the bar when it comes to continuous integration and delivery practices. 

 

The Engineering Manager will be called upon to provide leadership, coaching and motivation to the engineering teams and will need strong communication skills to work closely with the product teams and key stakeholders. You will help deliver quality automated CI/CD pipelines, from early requirements to test and behaviour driven development, whilst maintaining operational stability, high coding standards, together with supporting quality deployments, monitoring of the tech stack and overall production health.

 

The main outcomes are focused on enabling our engineers to ship high quality products and features with end-to-end ownership from conception to delivery with minimal disruption to the business. You will be a critical part of our engineering chapter, responsible for ensuring quality engineering, reliability, scalability, performance, and robustness of our software products. You will play a critical role in designing and executing engineering standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving a DevOps culture towards build and run.

 

Key accountabilities include:

 

  • Lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) enabling the domains blueprint and target architecture through a MACH first approach. 
  • Lead the domains quality engineering strategic initiatives within the engineering chapter and aligning them with the Pandora digital strategy and adoption to engineering standards.
  • Develop high quality, scalable and reliable microservices, enabled by a strong integration foundation utilizing repeatable design principals towards an API and Event-Driven Architecture first approach.
  • Maintaining quality deployments and real-time technical / business process monitoring of the production health with a build and run first mentality. 
  • Drive operational and service excellence, together with managing incident response and problem management with a strong focus on high product availability. 
  • Lead a team of highly skilled engineers, building a DevOps culture and providing the needed guidance and support towards their professional development.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel motivated, engaged and a sense of belonging. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality engineering practices into the entire software development lifecycle.

 

What is needed to succeed:

 

  • 5+ years in leading digital transformations with a strong focus on enterprise resource planning and supply chain execution technology landscape
  • 5+ years of experience working across ERP, OMS, WMS and TMS solutions.  
  • 5+ years enabling scalable software architectures utilizing MACH principals, serverless technologies, container orchestration, API management and microservices framework. 
  • 5+ years driving engineering automation and adoption of DevOps tooling. 
  • Strong experience with Event Driven Architecture & cloud integration platforms such as Kafka/Solace which processes high volumes of data across the technology stack.
  • Strong experience with SAP global implementation programs, S4/HANA and Business Technology Platform also preferred.
  • Industry exposure to Omni-Channel Retail, Luxury goods or FMCG industries preferred. 
  • Naturally proactive and independent problem-solver with a proven track record of driving product and engineering management, solving meaningful customer and business problems.
  • You enjoy working with many stakeholders and showcase the ability to translate technical language into business value, through well-crafted artefacts and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Effective influencer and ability to work with large cross-functional teams and complex programs in large multi-national corporations.
  • Being comfortable working with short lead-time, change management and highly volatile environment. Shows resilience and patience to build up structures and maturity within an organization.
