Main Purpose of the role and Key Accountabilities:

As a Finance Assistant Manager, you will be an integral part of the Controlling and FP&A team. Your key responsibility will be to ensure compliance of internal and external reporting, help driving the overhead OPEX efficiency, and deliver key financial deliverable of KPI (i.e., working capital, PL, BS) around the regular cycle of finance calendar. 

 

As part of this, you will:

  • Prepare variance analysis for actual reporting of KPI (i.e. working capital, PL, BS)
  • Drive the forecasting and budgeting process, as well as the monthly business performance review
  • Build the partnership with enabling function leaders and their team
  • Be able to identify the key cost drivers of each functions’ activities, able to develop Excel and tools for the review and forecast of their OPEX spending
  • Partner with internal audit to strength the controlling and compliance environment
  • Work with external audit/global accounting team to ensure internal and external reporting is in line with accounting standard.
  • Ensure the safety of company’s asset by regularly monitor and review Balance sheet.
  • Be agile to the latest development of the business, and be able to make proposal for cost efficiency improvement
  • Be an integrated part of the finance team, support and back up each other within the team to ensure team’s delivery; and take ownership and drive the major deliverables in the finance calendar

Adding to that, you have:
•    A bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, business or similar
•    4-5 years of experience from similar role(s) and responsibility in a global and international organization. Experience in big four is plus.
•    Solid accounting knowledge is must and familiar with accounting standard, i.e. IFRS, GAAP
•    Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry
•    English fluency, verbally and written
•    Skillful in Excel, and knowledge of other advanced data tools (PowerBI, Python, Tableau, etc) is an advantage
•    Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
