Compensation Analyst

The Sales Incentive Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of retail sales incentive and commission plans. They are responsible for the timely delivery of accrual reporting, the accurate calculation of all sales incentive and commission payments, and auditing to ensure a high data integrity.

 

This position can be located in Baltimore, MD or NYC. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Complete the calculation process for monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus payouts of defined sales incentive and commission plans, ensuring timely and accurate payouts
  • Coordinate the delivery of payout information to Payroll
  • Investigate, follow-up, and respond to field inquiries regarding incentive payouts/calculations
  • Document procedures and processes for sales incentive and commission plan payouts
  • Responsible for creating and distributing financial reporting/analysis to sales leaders, finance, and HR related to incentives/commissions on a recurring or ad-hoc basis
  • Assess and validate sales incentive plan performance, ensure plans are implemented per the provided requirements, and track and model modifications
  • Support design and implementation of new plans and existing plan changes by providing performance modeling, linking compensation plan design with business performance to highlight risks and opportunities in plan design.
  • Aid in the development and communication of incentive/commission plan documents
  • Responsible for maintaining retail salary structure and monitoring minimum wage increases across the NAM market

 

Something About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in the retail industry
  • 2+ years of solid experience working with commission and incentive plans
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate large data sets from multiple sources
  • Strong quantitative skills - a good sense of how to identify opportunities, solutions and the ability to "connect the dots"
  • Ability to work cross functionally, specifically with finance partners
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to multitask in a changing and fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and driven. Ability to self-manage projects and deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (eg, v-look ups, pivot tables, complex formula construction, data joins, filtering) + Experience data manipulation + Experience with one or more coding techniques such as SQL, VBA, SAS, Python +   

 

Travel Required: Less than 10%

 

NYC Salary Range: $84,500 - $105,600 (commensurate with experience)
