Financial Controller
Do you want to be a part of the world’s leading jewelry company while putting your experience in Financial Controlling into use? If yes, then we might have an exciting opportunity for you! You will be part of Pandora Latin America Team in an international organization of can-do spirited, passionate, and performance-driven people.
Pandora is looking for a dynamic and business-savvy Financial Controller to take full ownership of controlling activities and finance operations oversight for Pandora Brazil. This is a pivotal role for ensuring compliance, transparency, and strong business partnership in one of our most important markets in Latin America.
As Financial Controller for Brazil, you will play a central role in the financial controlling processes of the Pandora Brazil entity, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in line with Group policies, IFRS AND Brazil statutory standards. You will lead the month-end closing process, strengthen balance sheet governance, and deliver meaningful financial insights to senior management, as well as to Cluster and Group Finance.
You’ll also ensure adherence to local statutory compliance requirements, including supporting a smooth and timely audit process. Beyond core controlling responsibilities, you will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
In addition, you’ll act as a trusted business partner, supporting commercial and operational initiatives with sound financial guidance. A critical element of the role involves managing our external finance operations service provider, overseeing their performance across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payments, and tax operations — ensuring alignment with Group standards, promoting process optimization, and driving cost efficiency.
This role reports to the Finance Director of Controlling and Governance in LATAM and works closely with Brazil-based teams, GBS LATAM, Group and Cluster Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit.
Your key accountabilities:
• Lead the monthly closing process for Brazil, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group policies, IFRS standards, and Pandora’s financial guidelines.
• Conduct balance sheet reviews, explain P&L and cash flow variations, and deliver timely financial reporting to key stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of a robust account reconciliation process and monitor key financial controls to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Oversee the service delivery from our external finance operations vendor, ensuring effective issue resolution and adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
• Contribute to effective inventory management processes, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure proper accounting, reconciliation, and controls.
• Act as a business partner to local functions, providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure audit readiness — statutory, internal, and external — with a no-surprises approach and timely closure of audit planner items.
• Drive continuous process improvement, increase automation, and promote efficiency across financial operations.
• Strengthen compliance and governance frameworks by aligning local practices with Group policies and regulatory requirements.
• Build a trusted relationship with Cluster Finance Directors to support monthly reporting, identify performance gaps, and drive cross-market process optimization.
• Lead IFRS deep dives in select accounting areas to ensure consistent application and alignment with Group standards.
• Manage and develop a high-performing local finance team, fostering capability-building, collaboration, efficiencies and accountability.
Something about you:
A solution-oriented collaborator with a positive mindset and a “can-do” attitude
At Pandora, we recognise that it takes winning personalities to create winning cultures. As a person, you are curious, ambitious, self-driven and take a high degree of ownership for your tasks. You have a great sense of humor, are easy to work with and you enjoy meeting and working with new people. We work in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities. Being able to focus on the most important aspects is a key driver for being successful in this role. In addition, we would like you to have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preferably with solid experience in controlling and compliance
• 12–15 years of experience in a financial controlling function within an international company or in the audit division of a Big 4 firm
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, audit processes, and Brazilian statutory compliance (expert level not required, but strong awareness is key)
• Experience managing or collaborating with outsourced/shared service centers
• Experience managing teams and developing talent
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical mindset toward financial data
• Experience in managing inventories or working closely with inventory-related financial processes
• Exposure to the retail industry is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally and across geographies
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
