Brazil Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager to join our Pandora Brazil team.
Your Role as Tax Manager:
• As our Tax Manager, you will provide management and execution of activities inherent to the company's tax accounting, while managing and mitigating tax risks (anticipation, identification, evaluation, monitoring).
• Ensure compliance with the calculation of taxes and fulfillment of deliveries following the deadlines.
• Manage the relationships with and outputs from external firms responsible for preparation of direct and indirect tax returns.
• Act as a tax business partner, supporting and steering projects in Brazil.
• Manage tax processes in Brazil in line with our internal control framework.
• Manager tax audits and enquires from tax authorities.
• Lead the implementation of changes to ensure Pandora’s compliance with changes resulting from tax reform in Brazil that start in 2026.
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing including Tax Package submission for group reporting.
• Prepare current and deferred tax calculation. Review and submission, control and monitoring of tax calculations and tax accounting reconciliations (IPI/PIS/COFINS/ICMS). Detailed knowledge of/experience with tax regulations in Brazil.
Main Responsabilities:
• Coordinate all activities inherent to the monthly, quarterly, and annual tax closing in accordance with BRGAAP and IFRS standards.
• Ensure delivery of the closing reports according to the deadlines.
• Monitoring and review of direct and indirect tax deliveries
• Ensure the accuracy and performance of the accounting reconciliation of taxes.
• Monitoring and execution of calculation and issuance of royalty invoices
• Monitoring the issuance of importation invoices
• Preparation of current and deferred tax (IRPJ and CSLL calculation)
• Manage external service providers for tax compliance and advisory.
• Monitor tax payment records, delinquent account aging reports, and related delinquency reports to identify priorities
• Acting as a cross functional business partner in Brazil, ensuring that the tax team is supporting the business in a proactive and solution focused manner.
• Working closely with finance and tax colleagues, tax advisors and the rest of the Group Tax Team to ensure tax compliance obligations are met.
• Proactively identifying and managing tax risks and opportunities in Brazil
• Supporting the transfer pricing processes
• Providing Brazilian tax advice on a wide range of business initiatives
• Cooperating closely with the Group Tax Team to ensure alignment on the implementation and execution of tax policies in Brazil and keeping the LATAM Tax Manager informed about developments.
• Leading tax audits in close cooperation with the finance team, Group Tax Team and other relevant functions
• Preparing and/or reviewing quarterly tax reporting/accounting packages. Responsible for the preparation, review and delivery of the Internal Controls
• Assisting with forecasts of tax payments and tax expenses
• Updating relevant stakeholders on developments of new tax regulations and implement required actions.
What is needed to succeed:
- Education: Master's in Accounting
- < 8 years of relevant tax experience working inhouse and/or as an advisor
- Experience leading teams on a day to day and project basis
- Work experience in the consumer products sector is a plus but not a requirement
- Detailed knowledge of/experience with tax regulations in Brazil
- Knowledge of international tax principles and tax compliance obligations is a plus.
- Tax accounting knowledge
- Willingness to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
- Strong attention to detail, with good presentation and influencing skills.
- Ability to communicate technical tax issues to senior management in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to translate legal requirements and regulations into business processes.
