Financial Planning & Analysis Lead

Reporting to the Finance Director for Western Europe, you will be responsible for ensuring valid processes and data to drive the performance of the business. Through this, the FP&A team ensures high data-quality for historical as well as forward-looking data, focussing on precise reporting and forecasting across the business. You will utilise your business understanding to provide proper analysis on past performance, identify key areas of opportunities and risk and provide accurate forecasts.


Whilst having joint responsibility for FP&A for the Western European Region (France, Spain & Portugal) with your colleague in the FP&A team, you will have a special focus on the French  markets, acting as their point of contact for FP&A related specifics. You will lead the business partnering for eCommerce in France and be responsible for the management and forecasting of Gross Margin in collaboration with the Merchandising team.




Key accountabilities for the FP&A specialist will be to drive the reporting and planning agenda for the cluster. While having a joint cluster responsibility with the other FP&A member, the FP&A Lead will have focus on the French market but also be responsible for reviewing the overall performance and forecast for the Spanish and Portuguese markets in order to ensure a balanced and consistent cluster approach


Reporting :

  • Ensure proper analysis for month-close process to be able to present the periodic result including all analysis needed
  • Ensure the preparation and submission of all recurring reports
  • Ensure reports are gradually developed and refined to meet demands of the business
  • Ensure dynamic and flexible reports

Forecasting :

  • Drive the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process, starting from high-level, top-down target setting to bottom-up estimates on the entire P&L
  • Focus on analysis of top-line development and validation
  • Responsible for detailed KPI development for the eCommerce channel
  • Responsible for the gross margin reporting and forecatsing

Estimates :

  • Drive the weekly Rolling Estimate process together with the commercial organisation in line with the processes in place

Ownership :

  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for the France markets within Western Europe
  • Ensure that processes are managed for France in line with guidance
  • Jointly be responsible for tasks on a Western Europe Cluster level with the other FP&A colleagues




  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Finance role
  • Masters in Finance, Business etc. or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in a global and international organisation
  • Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry is a plus
  • Fluent in English a prerequisite; French language skills also a strong advantage
  • An organised and detailed oriented person who is comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
  • An ambitious self-starter who is eager to build a career
  • Team-oriented and able to collaborate easily with non-finance colleagues
  • Strong and effective communication – verbally and written
  • Experience with EPM tools (Power BI, Hyperion and advantage) and strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience partnering with local and international stakeholders
