The Merchandising Operations Analyst for the LAPAC Merchandising function, you are responsible for leading the overall governance and spearheading the on-going optimization of the end-to-end merchandising process. You will be responsible for overseeing the current process and ways-of-working on coordinate and develop the cross-collection operational processes in the assortment planning space.   

You will govern the end-to-end product development and go-to-market processes across the entire value chain. You will be in charge with driving the continuous optimization of the product development and planning processes to shorten lead time and increase process robustness, transparency and scalability throughout the workload. In this sense, you will be responsible for setting the full-year assortment planning and pricing calendar, track process execution according to different KPIs, own product master data development and new exciting projects about forecasting, line planning, and the overall business. You will enjoy a multitude of cross-functional collaborations with key stakeholders such as Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance amongst others, to provide efficiency in the process, develop new ideas to release time, reshape the workload and decrease manual work. 
 

Your Role as Retail Technology Specialist:

  • Defining line planning process guidelines, improving tools and time management.
  • Managing the end-of-season sales and lifecycles of the products.
  • Develop and standardize analysis and reporting about lifecycle and product performance decay prediction.
  • Responsibility for pricing over the 27 countries, continuously monitoring key factors such as competitor pricing, economic conditions, and internal performance to propose necessary adjustments. Your insights will be vital in maintaining a competitive and profitable pricing strategy.

 

What is needed to succeed:

We are looking for a strong, seasoned, technical Merchandise Planner with vertical retailing and omnichannel experience.
You must have strong business acumen and be relentlessly commercial, fact-based and analytical. Your strong analytical skills make you able to manage large sets of data and present results in a simple manner. Apart from being strong in logical reasoning, you are also people-smart, can collaborate cross-functionally and geographically, and you are able to maintain strong working relationships with peers. You are flexible and adaptive to changing priorities, which makes you able to perform under pressure, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. Furthermore, we hope you have or can demonstrate:

  • 3+ years of solid experience working within Merchandise Planning, Consumer Insights, or Demand Planning
  • Experience from retail, fashion, lifestyle or the FMCG industry
  • Experience from Poer BI (not required but good if you have) 
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising or similar
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude to learn technical applications (like: MS Access, Hyperion and APTOS) quickly
  • Knowledge of planning software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
