About the Team:

In Delivery & Planning we have a mission of driving and improving end to end delivery of tech initiatives in collaboration with Product and Development teams – seeking to deliver expected outcome for our customers and colleagues in shortest possible time to market while staying within budget.

We collaborate, deliver services and provide expertise across the Digital and technology domains – and we want to be the healthy friction in our organisation asking the right questions ensuring ambitions are always clear and that we focus on outcome.

If all of above sounds intriguing we want you to join us to bring your leadership, expertise, knowledge, ideas, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience to make a significant impact, and help build and shape this with us going forward.

As we are embarking on next level of Digital and technology commercial cluster engagement we are looking for a strong Business Partner and technology leader to lead this area for our commercial markets in North America.

Your Role as Business Partner:

You will act as the interface between Global Digital & Technology (D&T) and the commercial cluster in North America. Your proximity to local leadership will be key in ensuring more direct and impactful communication, which is crucial for managing the increasing expectations and dynamics. You will drive mutual transparency between the commercial cluster and D&T, ensuring cluster plans and D&T roadmaps are joined up at all times. You will help clusters realize their roadmaps and the value of technology, providing clarity on D&T plans, organization, and support.

To achieve this, you will be keeping D&T domain leaders accountable for listening to and delivering on cluster needs, while also holding the cluster accountable for implementing and supporting tech initiatives to deliver the desired value. This will require you to roll up your sleeves and actively engage in the day-to-day orchestration and tactical execution of initiatives on the ground, beyond simply coordinating or connecting people.

All of this will be enabled through a strong engagement model and clarity on portfolio, drumbeat, and intake model, as well as change management and communication.

Your role as the Digital & Technology Business Partner
In this role you will:

  • Lead business stakeholder engagements to inform, influence, and challenge, building up a respected partner relationship across cluster and Global D&T.
  • Serve as the cluster relationship link between the cluster and Global D&T at the executive level.
  • Provide highly valued strategic consulting-level support and guidance through key Global D&T initiatives.
  • Understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues, and convey them to D&T when needed.
  • Identify and define opportunities, account for cluster priorities, and prepare decision material and business cases together with business leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide support in delivering and implementing technology products that meet the needs and requirements of the cluster and business strategy.
  • Be the catalyst for change in the commercial markets by driving the Change Agenda on Global D&T deliveries from idea to release, holding global D&T and cluster teams accountable for having a go-to-market approach to initiatives where relevant.
  • Actively engage in daily operations and project management, ensuring that the D&T teams on the ground have clear direction aligned to cluster plans, efficiency levers, and problems to be solved.
  • Seek input from clusters to influence the D&T Strategic Plans, join up global and cluster roadmaps, and consistently review the plan during the year with cluster and Global leadership teams.
  • Position global D&T standards and policies correctly in the management of the cluster portfolio.
  • Work closely with the D&T Strategy & Portfolio team, and maintain touchpoints across all of D&T to provide clarity and transparency to the cluster leadership teams.
  • Have a strong understanding of support and operational frameworks and engagement models, striking the right balance between performance and transparency on operational support (with operations teams on-site in the clusters and globally) and the planning and delivery of strategic initiatives to deliver business value.

Craft your career with us if you have

  • Have a BSc or MSc with a relevant focus.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in Digital and Technology, bridging business demands and requirements with technology solutions.
  • Have experience overseeing a broad portfolio of Technology initiatives, including project delivery, ideally in agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Have experience with IT Operations and the key metrics to monitor to assess if performance meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Are structured, organized, and have a problem-solving mindset.
  • Are a strong relationship builder and a good listener, with a structured approach to managing stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly and speak the common language to bridge technology and business requirements.
  • Are analytical and can build business cases and track value as needed.
