About the Team:


The Marketplace Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and profit goals for our current partnerships with Macys.com and Amazon through our current partnership with Pattern. This role is also responsible for managing and identifying future business development opportunities within the marketplace channel that increases Pandora’s awareness and penetration within the North American region. This role will report directly into the VP of North American Ecommerce and will be based in New York City.

 

The ideal candidate has solid experience in managing Amazon accounts, preferably both in a vendor direct and 3rd party model. This candidate also has experience with being able to identify and scale new business ventures, displaying a keen understanding for the opportunities within the market and ambitions of increasing Pandora’s market share. This candidate needs to understand the selling fundamentals of assortment planning and optimizations, is a superior negotiator, and is also very familiar with how to manage and buy inventory.

 

The role will be incredibly visible internally both with peers at the same level and senior leadership. The goals of this role will also feed global expansion plans and therefore needs to have a candidate that demonstrates undeniable cross-functional collaboration and communication. You will bring a deep understanding of what it takes to build a digital Marketplace and can leverage industry research and trends to drive key objectives.

Your Role as a Marketplace Account Manager:

 

  • Partner with wholesale selling teams, accounting, technology, and full ecomm team.
  • Manage key accounts with Amazon, Macys, and others.
  • Account Management: Manage relationships with key providers and account representative, drive strategic goals.
  • Monitor marketplace performance metrics and identify key areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integrations and execution of MP strategies.
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the target market, including the size, growth potential, and the main competitors. Identify your target audience and outline their needs and preferences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profit targets.
  • Optimize product listings, pricing, and promotions to drive goals.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand assortment.
  • Oversee the creation and optimization of product listings, including product descriptions, images, keywords and attributes.
  • Inventory Management and forecasting – work closely with internal teams to manage inventory levels and sell through, demand forecasting, prevent stock outages and overstock.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a seller on Amazon.
  • Experience working in marketplace function.
  • Experience with identifying new expansion opportunities.
  • Executive presence – this role will report directly into the VP of North American Ecommerce and will interface with local senior leaders as well as Global levels in the executive layer.
  • Strong negotiator with demonstrated success in being able to negotiate both internally and with external counterparts.
  • Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and stakeholders with ease, can move a roadmap forward.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of work
  • Proficient in Adobe and Power BI, as well as 3rd party portals (big commerce, mirakl, patterns, etc.)
  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing environment.
  • Pro-active and results orientated.
  • Strong bias for action, relentless about driving and really owning your own business.
  • Comfortable managing both up and horizontal

NYC Salary: $165,000 - $175,000 commensurate with experience

The Pandora North America team in the USA & Canada consists of more than 115 employees working at our offices in New York & Baltimore, more than 80 in our Logistics Center in Columbia, Maryland, an additional 100 in field positions, and more than 3,900 in our owned and operated stores.  

Today, the USA is Pandora’s single largest market. The Pandora North American region as a whole encompasses over 1,400 points of sale, including over 420 concept stores, with more than 300 being owned and operated by Pandora.
