About the Team:
 

The Director, Sales Operations & Planning is responsible for leading the strategic vision, execution, and optimization of workload planning, labor management, and sales operations for Pandora North America. This role will oversee key processes, collaborate cross-functionally to ensure task prioritization and labor efficiency, and drive operational excellence to support Pandora’s growth objectives. The Director will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, and field leaders to develop and implement scalable strategies and improve store performance across North America.

 

Your Role as the Director, Sales Operations & Planning:

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and drive the strategic vision for Sales Operations & Planning to ensure alignment with Pandora’s North American business goals and objectives.
  • Provide clear, strategic direction on workload planning, labor optimization, and sales operations, ensuring alignment to broader company initiatives.
  • Influence and guide cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing) to integrate operational strategies into business practices.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Oversee and mentor a team of managers and specialists, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and growth.
  • Create a high-performance culture through clear goal-setting, regular feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure strong leadership practices are embedded within the team, encouraging innovation and ownership of key initiatives.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion within team dynamics, ensuring a culture of respect and engagement.

Workload & Labor Optimization Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing evaluation of workload planning and labor optimization strategies to ensure task execution is balanced and aligned with store priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Sales Operations & Workload Planning to track the execution of tasks, ensuring they are submitted with sufficient lead time and optimized for operational efficiency.
  • Monitor labor effectiveness through analytics and establish processes for adjusting resource allocation based on shifting priorities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between senior leadership, field teams, and cross-functional departments (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Merchandising) to ensure task execution is coordinated across teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for alignment on operational goals and priorities with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration by facilitating meetings and encouraging regular communication between cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.

Business Intelligence Development & Analytics

  • Provide strategic oversight for the business intelligence function, driving sales reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence Manager and analytics teams to enhance the accuracy, accessibility, and timeliness of operational data.
  • Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of workload execution, labor optimization, and sales operations initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of process improvements using a data-driven approach.
  • Establish a continuous improvement framework to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
  • Implement best practices and optimize processes to ensure operational excellence across all teams and functions.

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Workload Planning, or Retail Management roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale operational and planning initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in workforce management, workload planning, and sales operations.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with retail systems, reporting tools, and labor optimization software.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience leveraging data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in workforce management tools, retail systems, and project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel required: Up to 20% to support field teams, attend strategic meetings, and oversee key initiatives.

New York City: $160,000 - $200,000 commensurate on experience

The Pandora North America team in the USA & Canada consists of more than 115 employees working at our offices in New York & Baltimore, more than 80 in our Logistics Center in Columbia, Maryland, an additional 100 in field positions, and more than 3,900 in our owned and operated stores.  

 

Today, the USA is Pandora’s single largest market. The Pandora North American region as a whole encompasses over 1,400 points of sale, including over 420 concept stores, with more than 300 being owned and operated by Pandora.
