About the Team:
 

The Director, Ecommerce (US) will be responsible for exceeding growth and margin responsibilities for the US site. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our online sales platform, leading a team of merchandising professionals focused on optimizing the customer journey, enhancing and improving our SEO rankings, improving path to purchase, enhancing search, working in close partnership with our partners in technology in road mapping, and ultimately building a best in class customer experience for all our fans. 

 

The role will be incredibly visible both locally and globally. The goals of this role will also be to feed global expansion plans and therefore needs to have a candidate that demonstrates undeniable cross-functional collaboration and communication. You will bring a deep understanding of what it takes to build a digital experience and can leverage industry research and trends to drive key objectives. The role requires someone who can gain strategic partnership and be a vocal and daring advocate for the future of digital commerce.

 

The role is highly cross functional and requires exceptional time management, prioritization, and innovation to better optimize internal operations to improve efficiencies across the value chain. This person needs to be a loud advocate for customer experience and understanding product purchasing affinities and barriers to conversion.

 

This person should also have experience with Marketplace growth strategies and identifying white space.

 

This person will report directly into the VP, Ecommerce for North America in our NYC offices. This role is a hybrid in office three days a week. The ideal candidate will partner closely with our country senior leadership across multiple divisions including but not limited to Merchandising, Marketing, Customer Experience, Retail, etc, as well as our Global partners in Copenhagen.  This role is an amazing opportunity to support a growing North American business, gain senior leadership exposure, and help inform the Global expansion plans.

 

Your Role as a Director, Ecommerce (US):

 

Key cross functional partnership needed across the local Ecomm team, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, Finance,  Operations, and Customer Experience teams.

 

  • Help develop and actualize the e-Commerce US  strategy. Working closely with the HQ Ecomm Teams, Retail, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Experience, Finance and Logistic teams to both materials US and company wide ambitions
  • Maximize online sale and drive impact through partnerships with Site Merchandising, Digital Marketing, CRO (conversion rate optimization), Web Analytics and Insight, Omnichannel services, Customer Care, Returns and Damages
  • P&L ownership, ensuring delivery of budget, sales analysis, and weekly forecast
  • Advocate and influence senior management for the support and implementation of strategic initiatives; conduct competitive analysis, identify risk and reward opportunities
  • Prepare sales reviews and presentations regarding: updates to strategic initiatives, directive changes, key metrics, and actionable insights for senior management and HQ.
  • Manage end to end operational activities to ensure seamless order fulfilment and delivery processes to achieve Customer Satisfaction and Business Unit objectives. Increase omnichannel sales and maximize cross-functional synergies while ensuring consistency of customer experience and brand positioning and presentation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing E-commerce team fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, innovation and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their own development goals.
  • Develop in partnership an SEO strategy; conduct keyword research, content optimization. And technical audits to target key opportunities for unbranded growth
  • Analyse search data and user behaviour to identify opportunities for enriching search. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements

  • Minium of 8 years of experience working in ecommerce in either a site merchandising or commercial strategy role
  • Experience with Salesforce, Adobe or similar reporting suite, Content Square
  • Executive presence – this role will report directly into the VP of North American Ecommerce and will interface with local senior leaders as well as Global levels in the executive layer
  • You have  expertise on E-Commerce industry best practices and keep abreast on latest disruptions/trends/new technologies in the digital landscape
  • Strong negotiator with demonstrated success in being able to negotiate both internally and with external counterparts
  • Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, priorities and stakeholders with ease, can move a roadmap forward
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of work
  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing environment

NYC Salary : $220,000 - $240,000 commensurate with experience
