About the Team:  

The Commercial Finance team combines commercial and market knowledge and understanding of the drivers of performance with adequate Financial Accounting skills to assure accuracy of the Financial Accounts. Comprised of a small focused team, this team partners with stakeholders to drive and impact business performance. 

 

As the Director, Commercial Finance – NAM you will lead the Commercial Finance team and act as a strategic advisor for the Sales leads for each Channel/Country (VP, US & Caribbean Sales; VP, Canada Sales; VP, eStore; VP, Real Estate).  

 

You will take responsibility in coordinating and ensuring that there is transparency towards NAM leadership, and share knowledge and best practices, to roll-out and drive commercial excellence. This role works with Cluster and Global Commercial Finance to bring best practice to the market, drawing on global insight and data. 

 

The role requires a combination of strong business acumen, commercial finance, and partnering and communication skills, and the ability to guide strategic projects within the market, e.g., new category/channel/product creation and launch. The strong combination of business acumen is what drives increased business performance in the market, being the preferred business partner for the local management teams.  

 

 

Your Role as a Director, Commercial Finance:  

  • Focus on identification of opportunities to drive improvements in top and bottom line and other key outcomes (e.g., store labour management, working capital, and cost reduction).  Teams will use the data/analytics/tools which will be available to them (along with influencing relationship development and storytelling skills) to drive material performance improvement, in collaboration with NAM leadership teams 

  • Delivering the commercial results of the North America cluster (P&L and Balance Sheet) and also acting as the ‘engine room’ of Business Performance management, owning the Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes within the framework set by the Group. 

  • Take strong personal ownership of achieving required business outcomes and driving best practices 

  • Improved business performance within the Cluster with tangible results driven by Finance.  This includes, but is not limited to increased Sell-In and Sell-Out, higher Gross Profit & EBIT, better management of retail store payroll / hours, and improved inventory levels. 

  • Built strong relationships with Business Partners, and having embedded themselves within crucial business processes. 

  • Process improvements to drive efficiencies in areas such as Month-End Close, Forecast updates, Target Setting and ongoing reporting. 

  • New reporting/processes around Customer Profitability and Long Range Planning 

  • Improved accuracy of Financial Forecasts (Budget, LE, Weekly Book, etc) 

  • Provide financial and commercial support to drive performance and influence delivery of the commercial result 

  • Provide actionable insight to key forums based on risk, opportunity and sensitivity  

  • Set financial and operational KPIs/drivers 

  • Approve business cases 

  • Be part of the core teams of strategic projects within Cluster/Market (e.g. investments, new category/channel/product creation and launch), hereunder provide analysis

NYC Salary : $205,000 - $227,000 commensurate with experience

The Pandora North America team in the USA & Canada consists of more than 115 employees working at our offices in New York & Baltimore, more than 80 in our Logistics Center in Columbia, Maryland, an additional 100 in field positions, and more than 3,900 in our owned and operated stores.   

 

Today, the USA is Pandora’s single largest market. The Pandora North American region as a whole encompasses over 1,400 points of sale, including over 420 concept stores, with more than 300 being owned and operated by Pandora.
