Store Design & Construction Intern

Main purpose of the role:
The Store Design and Construction Intern will support the Store Design and Construction Manager on the whole new opening and refit projects and will cooperate on the preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Key accountabilities:
- Understand the whole Design and Construction process, being able to relate it to all Property & Network activities
- Support on new opening and refit execution projects, starting from the location inspection up to the effective opening or refit of the store.
- Site and store inspection, support on preparation of cadastral documents, understand local and national building regulation
- Cooperate effectively with all colleagues of Property & Network department as well as all other colleagues involved in Store Design & Construction processes
- Assist his/her Manager on supervising the construction works and identifying the proper contractors (plasterboard, electrical system air conditioning system, etc.)
- Support on project budgets and monitoring actual expenses
- Learn corporate policy and procedures
- Understand technical specifications and regulatory standards’ evolution in the domain and maintain a specialized technical documentation.
- Support on store maintenance operations.
- Update files and systems to support the follow-up of interventions.
- Participate to weekly recurring meetings and periodical reviews on Construction and Maintenance
- Be a promoter of a culture of safety, efficiency and sustainability
Professional qualifications & technical skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Good understanding about technical installations (such as HVAC, Fire Safety systems, electrical installations etc.), procurement, health & safety, facility or construction management techniques.
- Fluent in English & Italian

- Strong interpersonal and communicational skills
- Positive and flexible approach
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to deal under pressure and coping with high workload
- Able to work with good initiative in a multitasking environment
