Location: Hybrid working model with a central London office location

 

Pandora’s in-house Media Planner will work channel agnostically to plan the media budget for BRIS alongside the Head of Paid Media and Pandora’s media agency. You’ll work on offer plans and budget recommendations to channel owners based on overall ROAS targets and fluctuating marketing budgets.

What to expect from the role

 

  • Work with the channel owners to create campaign briefs and work alongside the media agency to establish Quarterly and  annual objectives and advertising strategy
  • Liaise with marketing finance business partner to establish budgets, campaign ROAS’s and changes in marketing budgets
  • Work on several briefs simultaneously
  • Recommend the splits of different types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations
  • Work with colleagues, other departments and media buyers either in-house or in a specialist agency
  • Make and maintain good contacts with media owners, such as newspapers, magazines and websites
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to inform future ones.
  • Manage administrative process for financial and campaign reporting
  • Report on the finical impact of global media trails on BRIS marketing plan and budget i.e. Liftlab, Onesearch
  • Responsible for different marketing scenario planning to present back to senior leadership team include General Manager and Marketing Director
  • Manage the relationship with NeuStar and Global Paid Media to schedule QBR’s and cascade the output to the wider team while making recommendations for future quarters based on BRIS data and wider cluster lens

 

What we are looking for

 

In order to be considered, you must demonstrate the following:

 

  • Significant experience in media buying
  • Experience in the following will strengthen application but not all is required
    • Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB) - a television measuring service
    • Google Analytics - tracks and reports website traffic
    • The Publishers Audience Measurement Company Ltd. (PAMCo) - audience measurement for published media
    • Route Research - for out-of-home advertising
    • Radio Joint Audience Research (RAJAR)
    • Kantar Media Expertise

 

Personal competencies

 

  • Commercial flair
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, for liaising with colleagues, clients and media owners
  • A good grasp of literacy, for writing reports and presentations
  • Proficiency with numbers, for data analysis and negotiations
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • The ability to work with IT resources such as databases and spreadsheets, for the collection and management of information
  • Capacity to work effectively under pressure.

 

Key KPIs

 

  • Make decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns
  • Undertake research and analyse data using specialist industry resources
  • Identify target audiences and analyse their characteristics, behaviour and media habits
  • Present proposals, including cost schedules, to Head of Paid Media and Channel Marketing managers
