In role, you’ll have ownership over all paid media channels, strategy and ROI reporting, achieving the most impactful media plan demonstrating clear efficiencies of spend and ROAS.

What to expect from the role

 

  • Lead the implementation and development of all paid media activity and manage the day-to-day relationships with external media agency partners and media partners (e.g Google/Facebook) to deliver quality media plans which deliver strong ROI against agreed targets and budgets.
  • Using data and insight, support the Head of Go-2-Market in setting the strategic direction of go-to-market and local marketing plans
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of media performance and deliver post-campaign evaluations to ensure insights are gathered and recommendations made for future optimisations.
  • Co-ordinate, validate and communicate monthly traffic forecasts to relevant stakeholders to set monthly expectations of the impact of owned, earned and paid media.
  • Manage a Media budget of £50m to drive the best return on investment
  • Report expenditure of paid-for media activity, including monitoring monthly forecast budgets and invoice activity.
  • Drive rigorous performance marketing test and learn methodology to optimise campaign performance.
  • Identify opportunities to develop ever more creative and effective solutions across all paid media activity, including improvements to current processes and ways of working, and the introduction of new tools..

 

What we are looking for

 

In order to be considered, you must demonstrate the following:

 

  • Significant experience working in either media agency or brand media teams
  • Experience in managing both online & offline media outlets
  • Proven senior leadership capabilities in managing a large team of high performers

 

Personal competencies

 

  • Experience working for a leading integrated media agency OR experience leading an in-house consumer media team
  • Proven experience in developing major, multi-channel, consumer-facing communications campaigns
  • Experience and knowledge of digital media planning, buying and evaluating, including programmatic and data-led content
  • Experience of different approaches to evaluation, to assess both short and long terms KPIs, including econometrics
  • A strong understanding of marketing/behaviour change best practice and the key considerations, inputs and processes required to deliver an effective campaign
  • Experience in working on customer segmentation and developing comprehensive channel plans
  • A strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger commercial picture.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer, experienced in communicating across business functions, at all levels and across differing geographies.
  • Confident – strong at presenting ideas and debating when required.
  • Effective at building relationships within the team and across departments with the ability to inspire and challenge.
