Key accountabilities:

Responsible for ensuring the effective and reliable operation of  facilities and wastewater system, machinery, providing strategic direction, overseeing the maintenance team, and driving continuous improvement through innovative maintenance practices. The role involves leadership, technical expertise, resource management, inventory management, budget oversight, collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, and a strong focus on safety, compliance and sustainability.

 

Key duties:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for facilities and wastewater  maintenance aligned with the organization's goals, emphasizing quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Lead and manage the facilities and wastewater maintenance team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure the effective and reliable operation of machinery, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team, identifying opportunities to enhance machine performance and operational efficiency.
  • Efficiently manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and tools, to ensure optimal machine maintenance and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee inventory levels for spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance needs while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, making informed decisions to optimize costs, allocate resources effectively, and contribute to financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including production teams, engineers, and other departments, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance, ensuring that all facilities and wastewater maintenance activities adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the maintenance team, enhancing their skills and knowledge to meet evolving technical requirements.
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the performance of facilities and wastewater  maintenance activities, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for unexpected  facilities and wastewater  breakdowns or critical maintenance issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications, contributing to a comprehensive maintenance history.

 

Responsibility for Revenue/CAPEX/OPEX:

 

  • Implement and oversee maintenance strategies to enhance facilities and wastewater machinery operational efficiency, indirectly contributing to improved production output and potential revenue increase.
  • Assess and recommend capital expenditures for facilities and wastewater system to upgrades or replacements, aligning with strategic goals for sustained operational excellence.
  • Efficiently manage day-to-day maintenance operations, including resource allocation, inventory management, and workforce planning, to control and optimize operating expenses.
  • Provide strategic direction for budgeting and financial planning, ensuring prudent allocation of resources for maintenance activities in line with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to align budgeting and financial planning with maintenance strategies, ensuring cost-effective operations.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in  facilities and wastewater management maintenance roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of preventive, service, and breakdown maintenance.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading and coordinating  facilities and wastewater maintenance teams.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of machinery operations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications in  facilities and wastewater maintenance, leadership, and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety standards with certifications in occupational safety and health.
  • Strong strategic planning skills to ensure efficient and effective  facilities and wastewater  maintenance operations.
  • Diploma (High Vocational Certificate) required minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in  facilities and wastewater management  maintenance roles, showcasing comprehensive expertise in preventive, service, and breakdown maintenance.
  • Background in Jewlery industry will be advantage.
