TheSales Operations Team-Leadwill oversee a team of currently 6 FTE as part of the Retail Excellence department, which builds the backbone of the sales organisation. The position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of store operations and focuses on refining operational processes, executing sales strategies and ensuring seamless alignment between the sales team and other departments.  

A key responsibility includes coordinating commercial initiatives and activities for stores in the Northern Europe Cluster with and through the team and sales-external stakeholders. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of retail operations, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Leadership: Organise the daily operations with and through the team and act as the primary point-of-contact and point-of-escalation for the team and externally. Empower the Sales Operations and Sales Support Teams to excel on their individual responsibilities: retail systems, store comms & engagement, retail ops standards manual & guidelines, across-the-board 
  • Point of escalation: Act as a primary point of contact on retail related topics for retail stores, Regional Sales Managers, District Sales Managers and internal departments; addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely communication with and through the Sales Operations Team
  • Retail Calendar Management: Oversee the organization and scheduling of activities throughout the year, ensuring efficiency and preventing overlaps 
  • IT-related requisition and improvement process: Own technical improvement process with Global IT; investigate and escalate reported problems, identifying root causes and proposing solutions; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and field teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales & visual merchandising strategies
  • Project-Management: Lead overarching-retail initiatives from planning to execution into business-as-usual
  • Budgeting: Ensure accurate cost planning and spending
  • Operational Process Optimization:Analyse and identify areas for improvement within current processes; develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and streamline workflows; work closely with sales representatives to understand their challenges and needs
  • Market-Focused Collaboration:Partner with local managers to align operational processes with each market’s unique requirements
  • Customer Experience:Implement standards that enhance service quality, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Market Insights Integration:Engage actively with local and global retail communities to gather insights, share knowledge, and drive initiatives to optimize processes
  • Collaborative Efficiency:Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement through regular interactions and effective communication channels across global and local teams

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in retail, fashion or FMCG industry
  • Your experience in working in a leadership position as well as your outstanding interpersonal competences enable you to guide and develop a team
  • You have already worked in sales operations, sales support or in a related field and you are experienced in working in an international organization 
  • You hold a university degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar  
  • You are a team player with a highly collaborative and approachable attitude 
  • Your excellent communication skills enable you to manage many external and internal stakeholders at the same time
