As Head of Paid & Owned Marketing at Pandora, you’ll take full strategic and operational ownership of our media activities across Northern Europe (DACH, BENELUX, Nordics) – with one clear goal: achieving media excellence that drives both brand awareness and revenue growth.

You’ll seamlessly connect brand building with performance-driven strategies, work closely with partners such as Google, Meta, and TikTok, and continuously challenge the status quo. You bring a strong combination of ad tech and content expertise across all relevant media channels and can lead your team not only from a strategic standpoint but also as a hands-on expert and sparring partner.

You will also be responsible for our loyalty program and CRM activities – driving communications across both paid and owned channels and leveraging data to maximize business impact.

Most importantly, you are a true people leader – coaching, empowering, and uplifting your team to unlock their full potential and achieve success together.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated media strategies across all paid and owned channels, balancing brand-building efforts with performance marketing objectives.
  • Own and optimize channel budgets, performance KPIs, and full-funnel media activations, guided by our econometric modeling.
  • Bring deep operational and technical knowledge of media buying across both digital and traditional media channels.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation by driving data-informed decisions, agile iterations, and leading cutting-edge partnerships and pilot programs directly with platforms like Google, Meta, and TikTok.
  • Ensure that all media planning aligns with local brand strategies, commercial objectives, and our global communications model, working closely with the Go-To-Market, PR, eCom, Global Media teams and media agencies.
  • Enhance performance and efficiency of our overall media and CRM activities by leveraging insights from our measurement and tracking tools – taking corrective actions such as reallocating budgets or initiating upweights where needed.
  • Take ownership of the loyalty program – encompassing both CRM activities and traffic-driving initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and empower a high-performing, cross-functional team – fostering a strong culture of trust, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • Constantly challenge established ways of working and set new media benchmarks for the brand.
  • Report directly to the Marketing Director Northern Europe, supporting her with both local and global initiatives.

Your profile

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, ideally with an agency background.
  • A strong sense of brand and content, with the ability to apply audience insights to media campaigns continuously improving brand impact.
  • Digitally savvy, with hands-on experience using the Google Tech Stack, paid social media platforms and ad managers, and a deep understanding of media attribution and media mix modeling.
  • Possess an advanced analytical skill set, with specific knowledge of key marketing metrics and the ability to turn data into compelling business narratives.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts and communicating them clearly.
  • A strategic thinker who can shift fluidly between detailed execution and the broader business picture.
  • Passionate about redefining media standards and pushing innovative marketing strategies forward.
  • A seasoned and empathetic leader, with strong coaching and talent development capabilities.
  • Experience managing loyalty or membership programs.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong communicator with a commercial mindset and deep understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced, and ever-changing environment, with a natural inclination toward tackling challenges.
  • Business fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
