As a Divisional Sales Manager you are part of the Northern Europe Sales & Operations team. You are responsible for the people and sales performance of a division or country for one channel of distribution, including all Owned & Operated (O&O) locations. As a DSM, you are dictating the divisional priorities/focus areas in consultation with the Sales Director, managing the Regional Sales Managers as well as building and leading high-performing teams.

In the role of Divisional Sales Manager for SouthDE/AT/CH you will be responsible for 40+ stores and you will lead 5 direct reports (Regional Sales Managers) and will be located in the Munich area.

 

WE DELIVER - Let's deliver together:

  • Shaping the divisional direction to increase the performance of relevant sales channels and communicating this clearly to the division to ensure alignment and buy-in
  • Assessing growth opportunities within the division, including the potential size of the network across O&O stores, SIS, etc.
  • Setting regional goals and sales targets in collaboration with the RSMs
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills while leading by distance – role modelling Pandora’s leadership behaviours lead with ambition, lead with empowerment, lead with accountability, lead with courage every day.
  • Having a strong presence in the field by conducting (bi-)monthly travels/visits with each RSM, coaching and supporting them to make sure expectations are met across areas such as team & talent management, inventory, brand standards, operational standards and excellence in service, ensuring a world class customer experience
  • Identifying trends, best practices and opportunities in the division by continuous observation on visits, surveying of RSMs/Store Managers and weekly calls to constantly improve sales performance and profitability of the division and taking any actions necessary
  • Building strong relationships within the sales network to seek out best practices to drive the divisional business and ensure strong cross functional relationships with cluster departments, communicating relevant business information and aligning on delivering on divisional plans for marketing, HR, VM, product, initiatives, etc.
  • Reporting relevant information to the Sales Director in a timely manner, including underlying drivers of performance and trends for decision making
  • Supporting the Sales Director by co-creating and executing strategic initiatives, including but not limited to new store openings, acquisitions and other commercial activities

  • You hold a BA in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing or similar
  • You ideally have 10+ years of professional experience in retail industry; you have managed divisions or large regions of stores and have proven the ability to build and develop a successful and comparably sized team
  • You are able to identify areas of opportunities, through revenue growth and cost efficiencies, and elevate this into an overall Divisional Strategy in consultation with the Sales Director
  • You are always up to date on divisional and cluster business environment and can translate this into action, setting the divisional strategy, sales budget and goals

  • You have a strong analytical and strategic mind-set combined with excellent communication skills
  • You take ownership for the results in your division, and you set and monitor financials, resources and outcome. Moreover, you identify commercial, operational and people risks and plan actions for mitigation strategies
