About the role

The Manager for FP&A and Controlling will oversee end-to-end financial processes for the markets within our Asia Cluster, with a specific leadership focus on managing the consolidated financials of all markets for reporting, for planning, for analysis, and for the evolvement of the cluster strategy. The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and driving robust controlling practices as we build a trustworthy financial environment for the Asia Cluster. This includes safeguarding the integrity of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, thereby protecting the company while enabling sustainable growth.

 

You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and reliable forecasting while acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Asia Cluster Leadership Team. In this role, you will champion financial best practices across 15 diverse markets, ensuring full transparency and providing actionable insights in collaboration with the Asia Cluster Finance team.

Key areas of responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting, partner with the key stakeholders in these processes, ensuring the timely deliverables of the process milestones
  • Partner with key stakeholders on the cluster overhead cost; also contribute business insights from the consolidated financials view of the clusters
  • Be the key driver of the balance sheet and cash flow management; Co-drive the internal and external auditing with our shared service team, lead the problem solving towards identified issues, and lead to establish the compliance & control environment to for early loss prevention
  • Participate in cluster/market project teams, which can be in the FP&A and controlling, or outside

 

What type of expertise does the position need?

  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting and Auditing, and additional experiences in Financial Planning & Analysis or Commercial Finance will be advantageous
  • Work experience in managing retail stores financials is required, preferably within retail, FMCG, fashion-luxury,
  • Regional experience across Asia, including China
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is critical for regional coordination, additional Asian language skills are beneficial for engaging with local stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the Asian market dynamics, cultures and regulations
  • Proactive and result oriented, collaborative team player with strong commitment to the tasks and team
