Global eCommerce Trading Manager

Strengthen the commercial foundation and seek-out commercial opportunities
The goal of this role is to assist in delivering on our financial objectives by strengthening our commercial foundation and execution across all eCommerce markets. In doing so, you will be collaborating with our markets and key functional partners in Merchandising and Marketing, both locally and globally. You will drive eCommerce trading optimisation with markets globally through determining and driving execution on commercial opportunities. Furthermore, you will lead all activities connected to weekly trading with markets as well as commercial reporting from Global eCommerce to the organisation. 

 

As eCommerce Trading Manager, you will determine and share trading best practices and improvement opportunities across markets. You will proactively spot and share commercial opportunities both in terms of opportunities for web site optimization as well as product category, collection and individual product opportunities. You will drive and nurture a trading culture and mindset characterised by constant chase after sales optimisation opportunities and work with individual clusters/markets on optimisation projects to improve performance. 

 

Additional accountabilities include:

 

  • Co-own the reporting of trade metrics but also the clear and concise narrative that explains trading performance along with the actions taken to continuously improve upon it 
  • Review and report on current sales and react appropriately to maximise every sales opportunity and respond to variables that affect online trade
  • Apply a data-driven approach to produce sharp commercial insight, drive activity and deliver improved commercial performance
  • Analyse product performance and react to improve sales
  • Be a key and active participant in weekly trade meetings with markets
  • Drive and develop weekly trade meetings with eCommerce market leads and global & merchandising teams
  • Become part of the early stages of campaign launches to ensure strong link between our eCommerce market leads, marketing and merchandising
  • Be an active partner in campaign planning to ensure we set ourselves up for success from an eCommerce launch & trading perspective


Strong trader with data-driven approach

You have strong analytical skills, a data-driven approach, and strong problem-solving skills. Further, you are also a people person with solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders. Furthermore, we hope you have or can demonstrate:

 

  • Min. 3-5 years of solid experience working in a commercial function e.g., within Sales, Business Development, eCommerce, Merchandising, etc. 
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within eCommerce, Marketing, Consumer Insights or similar
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Experience using Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics

Your new team
The Global eCommerce and Digital Operations team is a team of +20 people. As our eCommerce Trading Manager, you will be part of a smaller team of 5 people and you will report to our Director of eCommerce, Commercial Performance. In an informal environment characterised by freedom and trust, our team focuses on driving trade and delivering against our commercial plan within the fields of eCommerce trading, forecasting and performance analysis.
