Visual Merchandising Tools Specialist

City:  Copenhagen V
Country/Region:  DK
Application Deadline:  03/07/2022

Are you a passionate and creative individual, keen to pursue a career in Visual Merchanding with one of the world's largest jewellry brands?... If so, this could be the role for you!

In order to strengthen its capabilities and grow its expertise, The Pandora Global Visual Merchandising is creating a new role, a VM Tools Specialist. This will be an integral addition to our ever-expanding Retail Marketing Department.

To fulfill this position, we are looking for a passionate individual with strong Graphic Design, VM and Retail experience; someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who is attentive to details while keeping the overall ambition in focus.

Moreover, we are looking for someone experienced in developing VM guidelines and is an expert in finding the right balance between visuals and wording to get the key messages and vision through.

This role is key to ensure that our creative campaigns are implemented with the highest level of compliance and execution. As our new VM Tools Specialist, you will develop highly visual and bullet-proof content guidelines for our clusters to buy into each campaign and to implement them is the most impactful and commercially driven manner.

Your role will also consist of looking at the local guidelines and see how they may differ from Global guidance. You are therefore in the front line to alert the Global VM team so that we can re-direct local initiatives before it is too late.

You would be joining Pandora at a very exciting time for the brand, where innovative thinking and self-initiative are encouraged and where our brand values, We Dream, We Dare, We Care, We Deliver, animate our actions and vision.

Your role:

As our new VM Tools specialist, your role will mostly (but not exclusively) consist of developing the following campaign guidelines and ensure consistency between both documents.

  • The POS ordering guideline, for the clusters to buy into the campaign elements for each of their stores based on their grading, size and layout and other relevant specificities.
  • The VM guideline, for the clusters to implement the campaign (creative, merchandising and communication layers).

You will be collecting all necessary assets (renders, pictures, calendars, item numbers and designations, key messages) from multiple sources (see below “key partners), to integrate them into very comprehensive guidelines which you will then share with our clusters following a strict “upload” calendar.

Therefore, your closest collaborators will be the VM Specialists and the Campaign Specialist.

You will also develop new VM tools and refine existing ones with the ambition to give clarity and pertinence to all VM communications and to improve efficiency at all levels (e.g., looking into moving our VM guidelines into an APP). Regular calls with the cluster VM leads will help you understand their needs and specificities.

Your new team:

You will be part of the Global VM team which consists of the VM Implementation team, the VM Training team, and the VM Creative team, all reporting to the 2 VM Directors. Your line manager will be the VM Implementation Manager.

Key partners:

  • The VM Specialists, in charge of bringing products and stories to life in an inspiring and innovative way of merchandising
  • The Retail Creative team, in charge of developing creative campaigns and VM concepts.
  • The VM Training team, in charge of animating the VM community and developing training modules to increase VM expertise and awareness across the entire organization
  • The Retail Operations team
  • The Retail Communication team
  • Internal and external graphic designers
  • Freelance photographers
  • Clusters VM leads

What is needed to succeed:

  • Minimum of 8 years-experience in VM, including development of comprehensive VM guidelines
  • Expert in Photoshop and In Design
  • Structured and organized
  • High project management skills
  • Experience in working with tight deadlines and managing different projects at a time
  • Extreme level of attention to details and consistency
  • Ability to consistently look for more efficient and effective working methods– challenging the status-quo
  • Experience in developing campaign ordering guidelines is a +
  • Sales experience in store is a +
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Something about you:

  • High interpersonal skills
  • You are open and accept and give feedback easily
  • Enjoy brainstorming sessions
  • Easily express your thoughts and ideas through visual references
  • Able to generate conceptual ideas and share
  • Adaptable to moving targets and tight deadlines
  • Strong aesthetic sense and a true interest for design, fashion and art
  • Perfect English level (both speaking and writing)
