Inspire, encourage and reward

For this role, we are looking for an excellent team leader with great abilities in product styling, ideally in jewellery. You will head up our Visual Merchandising (VM) Implementation team which is a part of the Global VM team (also consisting of the VM training team and the VM creative team, all reporting to the VM Director).


The key responsibilities of the VM implementation team are:

  • To develop generic and seasonal VM strategies, principles and guidelines
  • Follow up on the execution of said strategies, principles and guidelines in all markets through onsite and virtual support
  • To support the development, testing and roll-out of all VM concepts including the new store concept
  • Responsibility for our merch lab and for the implementation of our campaigns at our Head Office


In addition to you, the VM implementation team consists of 5 VM Specialists with varying specialities and 2 Student Assistants. As the manager of this team, your role is to make sure each member has a good understanding of where the brand is going and how you see them being part of the journey, and a proud contributor to Pandora’s success.


In addition to the above, your key accountabilities as the VM Manager will be to:

  • Develop, inspire, encourage and reward each team member, setting goals and measuring progress
  • Be a sparring partner for the VM Creative team, the VM Training team and the VM Director
  • Create, administrate and organize meetings and walkthroughs with varying levels of management
  • Establish a close collaboration with Global Merchandising and align with them on the key commercial drivers and stories to tell for each campaign
  • Partner with Retail Excellence to coordinate the pilot and roll out phases of new concepts and to define the associated KPIs and ways to measure them
  • Support the Global Business Units (GBUs) in their development strategy of our collections
  • Follow up on campaign implementations in the markets from initial plan to final execution in order to promote global consistency
  • Support the VMs in all of the markets through optimal planning, market understanding and consistent communication


In this role, you should be willing to travel 20 to 30 days a year to destinations in both US, China and Europe.

The VM department is part of Retail Marketing which also includes Store Design, Retail Communications and Retail Operations teams. You will be working in a dynamic, inspiring and international environment surrounded with dedicated, passionate and creative colleagues.

Your main partners will be Global Product Merchandising, Retail Excellence, the 2 Marketing GBUs, the Cluster VMs and Retail Marketing.


Outgoing personality and a true passion for design, fashion and art

To succeed in this role, we hope to see that you have a strong sense of aesthetics and a true interest for design, fashion and art. You can easily express your thoughts and ideas through visual references. You have a structured work style, an outgoing personality and the ability to generate conceptual ideas and share these with leaders at all levels.


Also, we hope to see:

  • Minimum 10 years Retail experience in VM
  • Managerial experience of at least 4 persons
  • Experience in Jewellery and/or Fashion apparel, in high profile retail brands with focus on Premium execution
  • Strong product styling ability with focus on commerciality
  • Experience in developing comprehensive VM guidelines
  • International experience working in a global organisation
  • Good understanding of the consumer journey and retail (sales) operations in store
  • Fluent in English – both speaking and writing
