About the Team:
Reporting into the SVP Data & Analytics, we're looking for a VP Enterprise Data Architecture, Engineering and platforms to join our leadership team and bring exceptional management and technical skills to our team. Your primary focus is your team and the people in it, and we expect you to build a great culture that ships high-quality, high-impact code at a staggering pace. :) You’ll guide the team’s daily work and our technology selection as we scale.

What You'll Do:

Build, lead, and mentor a growing world-class data architecture, engineering and platform team delivering innovative data products

Serve as a technical visionary for where we’re going and how it can positively drive value to our business objectives

Recruit top engineering talent, including sourcing, selecting and selling candidates.

Serve as the engineering team’s voice to help steer the strategy and direction of the company by self service analytics and KPI’s.

Design, develop and roadmap scalable, reliable, performant and extensible architectures and technical designs.

Cultivate a strong, transparent and collaborative engineering culture based upon DevOps way of working.

Track key productivity metrics and continually work towards improving team efficiency and engineering capacity while working closely with product owners and managers.

Establish new strategies and policies to promote engineering excellence.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment and you get motivated by challenges as a true problem solver
What You Have:
-
At least 7+ years of experience building data products, software engineering, data platforms, and leading engineering teams.

At least 5 years of experience with managing product teams, senior engineering resources, and solution architects
-
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, data & software engineering as well as system architecture and design.

Previous experience with managing teams running DevOps and all aspects of the data and software development lifecycle.

A record of successfully managing people leaders and distributed teams while building an engineering culture across teams.

Proven experience working with techno-social paradigms like Data Mesh, Domain-Driven Design, and Data Fabric.

Track record of leading engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable technical solutions that solve business requirements.

Track record of growing engineering teams by identifying key roles and recruiting talented engineers.

You will be part of Petra’s Zijlstra SVP Data and Analytics team who joined Pandora in February 2023. You will help Petra drive and support the transformation in the Data and Analytic team. Petra’s aim is to become a fully data driven organization that drives business value to the fullest.
