UX Designer

As a UX Designer embedded within our product teams, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our digital platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, engaging, and user-centric experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business growth. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to spend 20% of your time driving and owning key design initiatives, contributing to the overall advancement of our design practices and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embedded Design Support: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders a an embedded member of product teams. Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, to ensure that user needs are represented and translated into intuitive and effective design solutions.
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, gather insights, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions. Identify user pain points, needs, and preferences to drive the development of user-centered design solutions.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts and interactions. Iterate on design solutions based on feedback, usability testing, and data analysis to optimize the user experience.
- Visual Design: Develop visually appealing and cohesive design elements, including layouts, typography, icons, and graphics, that enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of our digital products.
- Interaction Design: Define and design intuitive user interactions and interface behaviors that guide users through our digital experiences and facilitate task completion.
- Design System & Guidelines: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across product teams.
- Driving Key Design Initiatives: Spend 20% of your time driving and owning key design initiatives that contribute to the advancement of our design practices and methodologies e.g. Accessability. Lead projects, conduct research, and propose innovative solutions to address design challenges and improve the overall user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of design initiatives. Advocate for the importance of user experience and design principles within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (+3 years) as a UX designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and contributions to successful digital products.
- Proficiency in design tools and software, such as Figma, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and design thinking methodologies.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
