Store Design Planning Manager (Interim)

 

Do you want to design stores for the largest jewellery company in the world? And are you an excellent team leader and project manager? Then we might have the opportunity you are looking for!  Pandora are on the lookout for a talented Store Design Planning Manager, to cover Maternity leave for 12 months, starting from the 1st May 2025. 

 

As the Store Design Planning Manager you are responsible for overseeing a team of associates that design our retail spaces globally. You guide and support your team to develop store designs, using the concept guidelines and tiering program as a basis, while also infusing retail knowledge, creativity, and an individual design approach within the conceptual framework.  We want to elevate our store design team to a world class level to inspire and drive brand desirablity.

 

You also straddle the worlds between individual market needs and the global HQ brand vision and business needs, to merge the two in the best possible way. With a foot in both worlds, you have oversight to help improve ways of working to deliver high level of store design and construction execution worldwide. We are looking for an empathetic and strategic people manager and leader, that can help the store planning team to grow and develop existing talent, as well as create a succession talent pipeline.

 

TEAM RESPONSIBILITES & DELIVERABLES

  • Support your team in delivering all design phases of the projects, from 2D and 3D design to fixture & furniture schedules and technical drawings
  • Support your team in project management, with an eye on project timelines and management software tools, and hold the markets accountable to do the same
  • Fully understand the store design concept and tiering guidelines, as provided by the concept development team
  • Provide visibility to upcoming store openings, including photo reports to be shared with the Director and larger SC&D team
  • Partner with the Store Planning Manager(s) and the Director to align on team planning and strategy, and to align on best practices and learnings from the markets
  • Develop presentations for the store planning team, as needed, for example supporting the director in weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Support the Director in communications, stakeholder management and cross functional initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally, as needed, with Retail Operations, Creative Studio, Network & Finance, New Business Development, Procurement and many more.

 

MARKET RESPONSIBILITES

  • Communicate global updates to clusters. You are the global store planning lead for several of our regional offices, representing Pandora’s brand vision - balancing commercial and marketing considerations
  • build partnerships with our regional store planning teams, to identify pain points and opportunities for improving process and implementation
  • Monitor concept implementation and construction means & methods to secure world-class execution
  • Look for synergies across all markets and with Global to create new ways of working

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Motivate and lead with a coaching mindset
  • Support and engage your team members on their professional development
  • Monitor team members on their required job skills (technical and project management) and provide feedback as needed
  • Manage and own annual performance reviews of your direct reports, in accordance with the company’s timeline
