Assortment Planner – Interim 12-month contract

In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing the commercial value of our assortment and driving like-for-like (LFL) growth across collections. You will support the creation of a robust collection architecture, contribute to financial planning and sell-out forecasting, and assist in delivering our Range Framework initiatives. Working closely with both global and local merchandising teams, you will help ensure seamless hand-offs and alignment. You will also play a key role in the cross-functional product development process, providing valuable input from an assortment strategy architecture, and collection financials perspective.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Support in building the bottom-up assortment architecture & financial planning to meet top-down financial targets for the collections in scope.
  • Deliver sell-out forecast across all milestones to inform collection financial targets, S&OP and planning & allocation.
  • Facilitate product lifecycle management to maximize the assortment, from creation to exit.
  • Work in collaboration with global and local merchandising teams to facilitate local execution and maximizing commercial opportunities.
  • Support in adhering to collection article frame (count) and collection financials.
  • Support execution of Range Framework initiatives, own tools to be handover to local merchandising teams, inventory and allocation.
  • Preparing key merchandising deliverables for NPD (New Product Development) process, prepare and support modelling for annual planning and key product development milestones.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Design and GBU teams to create impactful newness assortment that maximizes commercial value, through providing data-driven performance insights that inform assortment decisions.
  • Reading global weekly/monthly/quarterly trade results, prepare deep-dive analyses and post-mortems, while connecting to future risk & opportunities to identify commercial actions & future product opportunities.

 

 

Your Skills & Background

 

  • 3 - 5 years of solid experience working within Product Merchandising, Demand planning, Buying, Allocation ideally from retail or fashion industry 
  • Strategic and analytical thinking: ability to analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and performance data to inform merchandising decisions and align them with broader business goals
    Attention to detail: ability to work with high level of precision and accuracy within data maintenance and performance analysis tasks
  • Top-down communication: ability to structure, simplify and effectively communicate performance insights & analyses to various stakeholders with confidence 
  • Influence and collaboration: Strong stakeholder management and negotiation kills, ability to collaborate & influence cross-functionally
  • Commercial-driven mindset: laser focus on creating commercial value through identifying and executing commercial opportunities that maximize collection LfL growth
  • Adaptability & innovation: ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing market & organizational conditions, perform under ambiguity while fostering creativity and innovation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Buying and Forecasting software, PLM program
