About The Role
This role focuses on leveraging digital tools and systems to elevate the physical retail store experience and drive omnichannel excellence.
As our Senior Specialist in Global Digital Store Experience, you’ll play a key role in developing, maintaining and managing the operation of our retail systems, as well as rolling them out globally. You’ll optimize usage and enhance retail systems in order to secure excellent user and customer experience, by securing retail-centric functionalities via market requirements gathering, user stories, as well as creating and conducting efficient training and change management.
This role secures new system roll outs and system enhancements are successfully managed via clear communication, training, and strong coordination between Clusters, our partners in Digital & Technology as well as Global stakeholders.
More specifically, responsibilities of this role will include:
- Responsible for co-creating ‘fit for purpose’ retail technology initiatives in line with strategic objectives
- Ensuring projects and systems are built with strong retail mindset and support our needs
- Owning the End-to-End Implementation plan for assigned projects, connecting relevant teams and ensuring clear objectives and KPI’s are communicated, understood, and measured
- Partnering with commercial, Digital & Tech and other business functions to identify business opportunities and needs by understanding current pain points and store needs in order to elevate the customer experience
- Nurturing strong relationships with Clusters to encourage feedback, share best practices and lessons learnt to drive future improvements
- Driving and championing a culture of Continuous Improvement and Change, supporting the Clusters to embed new ways of working and adoption of new processes and systems
For this role, there may be some minimal travel expected, of about 15 days per year.
In order to succeed
To succeed in this role, you need to be commercially minded, analytical and results-driven, and to place the customer at the heart of everything you do. You have project management experience, strong communication skills, you are a ‘self-starter’ and the ability to influence others. You have a retail or sales background combined with a strong commercial awareness and business understanding. You possess great organisational skills and are very structured in the way you approach your work. You are a good communicator and understand the importance of well-documented processes and presentations. You are proactive and ambitious with a ‘doer’ mentality, and you are a trustworthy colleague who thrives with being visible in the organisation.
Additionally, we hope that you have and can demonstrate:
- Fields experience in a global organization, preferably in retail or service industry
- 3-5 years of Retail Operation experience
- Good technical understanding with the ability to be the link between business and IT.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management tools
- Strong problem solving mindset and analytical toolbox
- Ability to think end-to-end and easily go from ‘helicopter view’ to detailed view
- Fluency in English, both in verbal and written communication with ability to deliver structured and simple messages on presentations
- Comfort with dynamic, changing and fast-paced environments
- Curiosity for the future of retail and Omnichannel
