Senior Director, Category Management, Media & Marketing

We are looking for an exceptional experienced Senior Director, Category Management – Media & Marketing to join our world-class Global Procurement team in Copenhagen.
As Pandora transforms towards “Buying as One Pandora” by 2027, we are reinventing how Procurement creates value—simplifying operations, driving innovation, and aligning closely with our global business strategies. In this transformation, media and marketing will be a critical area.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the end-to-end procurement strategy for all Media & Marketing categories.

Every strategic partnership, every media investment, and every creative decision plays a role in how Pandora is seen and behind this is a large eco system of media and marketing related suppliers that this role will work to optimize in close collaboration with the global Media & Marketing community in Pandora. Annual spending in the category is +3bn DKK and with a truly global footprint of suppliers ranging from large media agencies to local influencers and PR events across our global footprint.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders including our CMO, act as a key advisor to the VP of Global Procurement, and lead a talented team of category management professionals to drive transformation, performance, and supplier excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of procurement strategy to support and challenge category teams in developing, communicating, and implementing effective strategies within a new governance framework.

Process-Driven Mindset: Demonstrate strong understanding of core procurement processes and how they drive efficiency, cost savings, and business value—essential to our transformation.

Systems Savvy: Understand how systems such as Purchase-to-Pay (PtP) and contract management tools support procurement operations and enable transformation.

Transformation Leadership: Lead complex transformation programs with a strong PMO and project management toolbox. You’ll be accountable for progress tracking, milestone achievement, and risk mitigation.

Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the sourcing lifecycle.

Communication & Influence: Craft and deliver high-quality communication to drive alignment, excitement, and adoption of new procurement ways of working.

Operational Planning & Execution: Break down strategic goals into actionable plans with clear deliverables and ownership, ensuring consistent progress and impact.

Hands-On Problem Solving: Tackle challenges with a collaborative mindset, quickly identifying and resolving roadblocks that hinder progress.

Process Optimization: Constantly look for ways to improve procurement efficiency, supplier collaboration, and commercial outcomes through structured problem-solving.

Analytical Thinking: Use data to drive decisions, uncover insights, and support strategic and operational procurement goals.
We’re looking for someone who brings:

10+ years of experience in procurement, including deep expertise in media & marketing supplier ecosystems.

Proven track record of developing and executing category strategies in a complex, global organization.

Strong leadership capabilities, with 10+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Experience as a strategic advisor and stakeholder manager at C-level.

Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of best-practice RFx processes.

A strategic, analytical mindset with a focus on performance, value, and continuous improvement.

A proactive, collaborative, and engaging leadership style.

A strong grasp of sustainability, supplier governance, and total cost of ownership.
Nice to have:

Prior experience in a management consulting role, ideally focused on procurement or marketing operations.

Experience navigating fast-paced, consumer-driven industries.
