Privacy Business Partner, Retail & E-commerce

City:  Copenhagen V
Country/Region:  DK
Application Deadline:  N/A

Do you want to be part of the global privacy team in the biggest jewellery company in the world? Then look no further – this could be the role for you!

We are looking for a Privacy Business Partner with a commercial mindset to join our Privacy team in Copenhagen to support the commercial function in ensuring privacy compliance.

We are looking for a Privacy Partner to support our commercial teams as they design and deliver digital customer experiences.

In this role, you will work closely together with the commercial teams, product managers, UX designers and engineers, to embed privacy by design into the tools, platforms, and services that power our online and in-store experiences.

We are looking for someone who can bring privacy thinking into the flow of product development and operational decision-making. You will help teams understand how to use customer data responsibly, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and build trust through transparency and good design.

This role focuses on areas like customer facing AI technologies, website integrations, digital storefronts, checkout flows, loyalty programs, in-store technology, and operational data use in retail environments.

You will be part of a collaborative, business-facing privacy function that’s embedded across the company. The ideal candidate is fluent in both privacy and the realities of a fast-paced, customer-centric product development.

About the Role

Your work will not be limited to only the Commercial function, as you will also drive cross-functional privacy projects. The main part of the role is to ensure implementation of the strategic initiatives defined in Pandora’s privacy strategy. This includes being responsible for driving larger privacy projects end-to-end, including having the responsibility for scoping, planning, execution and reporting.

You will be involved in:

  • Providing guidance for ongoing projects in the business function from a privacy perspective.
  • Collaborating with team members on delivering the privacy strategy.
  • Conduct privacy training to business stakeholders globally.
  • Review and maintain the data inventory of processing activities for your business function.
  • Sit-in on meetings with senior stakeholders and advice on key strategic initiatives in the area.

To succeed in the role as a Privacy Business Partner you need to have both a compliance mindset and a business mindset. You need to understand the business requirements as well as the privacy requirements to be able to find the best solutions for Pandora, and should therefore independently and proactively work with the business to understand business priorities. You will work across functions and cultures, hence strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Drive structured implementation of initiatives end-to-end, including carrying out scoping, planning, communication and reporting,
  • Be the bridge between the privacy team and the Commercial function through your role as Privacy Business Partner.
  • Partner with e-commerce and retail teams to identify and address privacy risks early in the product lifecycle.
  • Translate privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) into clear, practical guidance.
  • Review and advise on new tools, technologies, and data uses.
  • Drive privacy-by-design practices across the customer journey—from checkout to loyalty programs.
  • Work closely with legal, security, and product teams to resolve issues and influence strategy.
  • Track emerging privacy trends, regulations, and enforcement actions that could impact retail and digital commerce.
  • Ask critical questions in order to balance the commercial angle with compliance requirements and challenge current ways of working
  • Work to ensure consistency and common frameworks in the data privacy sphere in close co-operation with the other Privacy Partners
  • Having a CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM or other data privacy certification is a plus, but not a requirement,
  • OneTrust experience is a plus but not a requirement
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite, mainly PowerPoint,
