Your Role as Manager, PMO

 

We are looking for a Manager, PMO to join our Digital & Technology PMO team. In this role, you will partner closely with Program Managers and stakeholders to establish and operate the PMO setup for large-scale transformation and technology delivery programs with an initial focus on supporting a major ERP/S4HANA business transformation. You’ll define standards, enable integrated planning, track milestones, and ensure effective reporting and governance. Your focus will be on providing the frameworks, tools, and insights that support successful program delivery, while collaborating across functions such as finance, audit, and portfolio management to ensure alignment and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Lead and evolve the PMO setup for large-scale transformation and technology programs, defining and maintaining PMO standards, best practices, and delivery frameworks
  • Drive integrated planning, phase gate management, and milestone tracking in collaboration with Program Managers
  • Develop and support governance structures, forums, and decision-making processes
  • Lead vendor management frameworks and ensure alignment with contractual obligations
  • Manage program reporting standards, dashboards, and executive updates
  • Oversee requirements traceability and change control processes and ensure adherence to PMO standards
  • Facilitate resource planning, capacity management, and prioritization across workstreams
  • Identify, track, and escalate cross-stream dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Ensure financial tracking, forecasting, and budget adherence in line with PMO processes
  • Collaborate across boundaries (e.g. internal audit, portfolio, finance, and other support functions) to ensure policy and compliance alignment

 

Your Skills & Background

 

  • 7+ years of experience in PMO roles within large-scale, plan-driven transformation or technology programs
  • Proven track record in both PMO setup (frameworks, governance, standards) and operational execution
  • Strong formal and informal leadership skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent facilitation skills to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of both agile and waterfall methodologies, and how PMO integrates into hybrid delivery environments
  • Solid knowledge of project and program management methodologies and governance frameworks
  • Experience in financial tracking, risk management, and dependency management
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PgMP, PMO-CP) are an advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Experience working in global, multi-vendor, and matrixed environments
  • SAP experience is a plus, but not a requirement
