About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join Pandora’s Merchandising & Assortment Planning team and drive cross-functional product development process from assortment strategy, architecture and collection financials lens. In this role, you will be building collection architecture, financial planning, and sell-out forecast of a respective collection. Additionally, the position includes driving Range Framework initiatives and ensuring hand-offs to global and local Merchandising teams for execution.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Building the bottom-up assortment architecture & financial planning to meet top-down financial targets for the collections in scope.
- Responsibility for sell-out forecast across all milestones to inform collection financial targets, S&OP and planning & allocation.
- Ownership of product lifecycle management to maximize the assortment, from creation to exit – as well as ownership of collection article frame and collection financials.
- Analyzing and presenting with confidence the global weekly/monthly/quarterly trade results, preparing post-mortems, while also connecting to future risk & opportunities to identify commercial actions & future product opportunities.
- Working in collaboration with global and local Merchandising teams to facilitate local execution and maximizing commercial opportunities, and also driving cross-functional collaboration with Design and GBU teams to create impactful newness assortment.
- Driving Range Framework initiatives, and owning tools to be handover to local merchandising teams, inventory and allocation.Preparing for final sign-off on launches for NPD (New Product Development) process, and being responsible for annual planning and key product development milestones.
What is needed to succeed
In order to succeed, you have a strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and performance data to inform merchandising decisions and align them with broader business goals. You are commercially-driven, and focusing on creating commercial value through identifying and executing commercial opportunities that maximize collection LfL growth. You enjoy dynamic environments, and you can easily adapt to changing market & organizational conditions, as well as perform under ambiguity while fostering creativity and innovation.
Additionally, we expect that you have and can demonstrate:
- At least 3-5 years of solid experience working within Product Merchandising, Demand planning, Buying, or Allocation – ideally within retail or fashion.
- 1-2 years of experience in a people management role, with strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and develop your team.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to structure, simplify, and effectively communicate insights & analyses to various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, working with high level of precision and accuracy within data maintenance and performance analysis tasks.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
