As part of expanding the Pandora Digital and Technology organization in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Lead Engineer Integration.
Your Role as a Lead Engineer Integration:
As a Lead engineer in the integration platform team, you will be working on new technologies setting the standard for how to best utilize event based architecture, APIs and other integration capabilities. PANDORA is working on creating more compelling consumer experiences and building solid and flexible integrations is a key enabler for this.
In this, very capable, team you will play an important role in developing, supporting, guiding and assisting with the vision and the culture. The team will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining integration platforms, ensuring services are available, secure, and efficient.
This role will work in an integration’s platform team, enabling product team to enhance velocity by providing easy-to-use integration services, guiding, and supporting in reviewing integration architecture. The interaction between product team will happen through integrations, putting this team at the heart of data exchange. The Lead engineer will work on development guidelines, ensure integration capabilities, platforms, and guidelines as well as work with the Principal Architects on the architectural roadmap ensuring new technologies are reviewed to better serve current and future use-cases. Working across product teams the person should quickly understand business requirements to provide the right guidance and support.
The person has extensive knowledge and experience in setting up and managing an event-based architecture as well as API gateways, while also balancing priorities to utilize other integration components. The role has a good understanding of the prevalent integration platforms in the market and is curious to stay up to date and try out new technologies.
The person is pragmatic and focused on how to best enable the product teams in producing high quality solutions, enhancing developer productivity and performance. Key is working actively to build self-service as an integrate part of delivering the data integration capabilities, driving standardization through guidelines, support, and coaching.
Key accountabilities include:
As a Lead Engineer within the Pandora Integration Platform Team you will focus on driving application development for the most critical part of the strategy, i.e., shaping and implementing a new ecosystem for Integrations capabilities across the Pandora, while also managing dependencies.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
Deliver high quality solutions and raising the bar on engineering standards and delivery. You will need to be truly agile in approach, with a collaborative working style and able to thrive in a complex but rewarding environment
Drive high availability tier 1 integration platform capabilities, e.g., EDA, API gateways and other capabilities.
Mentor a very skilled team of Engineers across multiple areas including development, integration, and operations, providing leadership and motivation to team members
Manage design and development of cloud-based applications using a disciplined (Agile) development process
Lead continuous availability of various Platforms and solutions, Continuous Integration, & Change Management
Ensure teams and suppliers are adhering to enterprise architecture, engineering standards and technical compliance
Understand business requirements and function as a senior technical adviser to identify the technical needed to provide a good architecture design product
Perform structured analysis to solve technical problems and find long-term solutions to prevent the recurrence of the problems
Participate in the agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, decomposition, and daily stand-ups
Work closely with the team to guide, support, and lift
Key responsibilities:
8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and supporting mission critical Tier 1 services.
Track record of solving complex engineering problems at scale with outstanding business and technology results
Experience with high availability tier 1 integration platforms, e.g., EDA, API gateways and other capabilities,
Develop, evolve, and act as the subject matter expert on integration technologies and integration best practices.
Ensure high quality and reliability of the data flow through the integrations using metrics, monitoring and maintenance of the integrations
Proficiency with at least two programming languages including Java or .NET
Contribute to engineering standards and own section of it
Set the standard of the engineering culture and uphold the processes that will shape the future of the integration area
Accountable for SLAs with event streaming and API management
Actively participate in daily, weekly & sprint-related team meetings and brainstorming activities related to the project issues, collaborate with development and involvement in QA/testing and launching of E2E implementations.
DevOps experience with track record of improving time to recovery and mitigating failures
Define guidelines, data contracts and patterns in close collaboration with community members
Mentoring and supporting more junior engineers.
