Job description

As part of expanding the Pandora Digital and Technology organization, we are looking for an experienced  Enterprise Data Modeller & Architect to help drive the mission to turn data into business value, enabled by the recently embarked SAP S/4HANA program, to the next level. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing and maintaining world-class data architecture and data products at the enterprise level, and a solid multi technology & platform data experience, with a comprehensive SAP/ERP background to speed up data related design and decisioning throughout the ERP program.


Key accountabilities include:


  • Sets and maintains the end-to-end enterprise-level data architecture standards covering all products and technologies . Delivering all Data Model artefacts, from Concept, Logical & Physical. Delivering a group shared canonical model.
  • Is  the key SME for the definition of the organisation’s enterprise data strategy, with focus on putting in place business critical data capabilities (Data Catalog, Data Governance, Policies, Architecture Principles)
  • Key SME and contributor to strategic partnership management with data vendors to ensure that key third-parties are selected and technical relationships are managed in alignment with evolving architectural direction and decisions
  • Ensure Data Migration & Mapping is in line with best practice, oversight of the quality of all stages of the data migration and mapping process.
  • Ensures alignment of  the design of Analytics platforms and data products, ensuring alignment to enterprise data strategy, group canonical model and data governance policies.
  • Maintain a direct relationship with innovation initiatives across Pandora to provide technical expertise and insight, technical guardrails and alignment to the enterprise architecture principles in the data realm
  •  Build  a community of practice for solution architecture teams embedded in various Core Tech teams , owning the data architecture and principles
  • Promotes a shared and common data architecture across the organisation and set the standards and ways of working for the data architecture community.
  • Interact with senior stakeholders across departments on matters relating to data
  • Researches and applies innovative data architecture solutions to new or existing problems and is able to justify and communicate design decisions
  • Puts in place a comprehensive data quality and management framework, ensuring quality of data assets and products.
  • Leads the data design of systems and services






What is needed to succeed

  • 8+ years of related experience is required. A BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required
  • 8+ years of Data Modelling, with demonstrable experience of implementing a Canonical Model in similar landscape to Pandora. Knowledgeable of different data modelling concepts and techniques to meet different business needs. (like normalized, de-normalized, stars, and snowflake)
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL, Data Integration, Event Driven Architecture and API architecture.
  • Worked with transactional, temporal, time series and structured and unstructured data
  • Fully versed and prepared to demonstrate a technical knowledge of data base administration and management, from SQL DB, EDW, to Data Lake and Lake House.
  • Knowledge about SAP related data architecture and models, especially on S/4HANA digital core, such as FICO, SDMM, BTP/CPI
  • Good experience in Azure Cloud data products and capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of complex business problems to ensure projects are leveraging the appropriate technology and the technical design
  • Data quality management and data architecture standardization experience
  • Deep understanding of the operational dependencies of applications, networks, systems, security and policy
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance of software solutions and architecture and in service delivery
  • Bring positive and proactive mindset with an intrinsic motivation. Demonstrate a true team-player that strives for the accomplishment of common goals.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar
  • Effective communicator and facilitator, proficient in spoken and written command of English; Danish speaking is a plus but not mandatory
