GBU Brand Director, Moments & Upstream Innovations

Would you like to join Pandora at a very exciting time for the brand, where you will be key contributor in identifying and unlocking new business opportunities?

 

In this newly established Global Business Unit role, you will be part of the growth journey of our company, supporting the VP of Marketing, GBU Moments & Upstream Innovations as one of two Directors. You will be responsible for defining the global Moments Collection’s growth masterplan with a strong focus on brand building and innovation, rooted in consumer and customer insights and aligned with the overall category strategy and roadmap – including commercial performance, e.g. like-for-like and GM cross-margin targets.

 

Your role:

You will lead the development of the Moments Collection & Upstream Innovation together with your team of two direct reports.

Key milestones will be within the following areas:

  • To develop and drive a sustainable growth roadmap of the Moments Collection across all categories (with focus on Charms & Bracelets) and metals for existing, lapsed and new customers
  • To define an upstream cross-collection innovation roadmap rooted in consumer and commercial insights
  • To identify white spaces for Moments to increase acquisition and usage frequency
  • To drive (fast-track) growth opportunities in the Chinese market in close collaboration with the local team

In collaboration with the GBU Director and team, as well as the supporting functions, you will ensure that the collection approach is aligned with Pandora’s overall strategy and planning to secure consistency in brand quality and recognition across all consumer touchpoints and channels.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Set the direction for the Moments Collection, generating new ideas while identifying size of the prize and elaborating roadmaps and growth strategies, including source of volumes, pricing, distribution strategy, conceptualization of upstream innovation pipeline
  • Gather insights from countries, merchandising and consumer/competitive research and Regional Cluster input, define a roadmap to growth and brief the product design team working in close collaboration with them
  • Design the support model for his/her product portfolio, being ultimately responsible for the brief creation and timely delivery of all 360 toolboxes (Advertising assets, digital, social media, PR, retail marketing etc…) needed to support the Moments collection and innovations in the markets, leading the cross-functional teams effort
  • Monitor the global performance of the business measuring corrective actions short/medium and longer term

 

What is needed to succeed:

  • At least 10-12 years’ best-in-class consumer-centric experience from similar product and/or innovation development roles
  • Global experience required – Experience from global environments within industries of both functional and emotional needs (e.g. FMCG, Beauty, Luxury).
  • Experience from HQ-based roles is a must, with ideally also some experience at a local or regional level. CV needs to feature diversity in the roles and / or the product categories
  • Knowledge of the China market is a clear plus
  • Brand Builder –passionate with a solid marketing toolbox and a strong focus on consumer centricity, brand building, transformation and innovation
  • Business Acumen – Highly commercially-minded marketer with a deep understanding of the market. Ability to manage and strengthen a product portfolio
  • Stakeholder Management – Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organization as well as across functions
  • Postgraduate diploma in a relevant field (Business Administration, Marketing or Economics)
