Engineering Manager, Store Experience

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager, Store Experience, to join our team. You will be responsible for full life cycle application development and operations (DevOps) of Microsoft D365 technologies (CRM and D365 Commerce). With our strong focus on quality, we also expect that you will be responsible for delivering SaaS platform solutions for the commercial organization. Your key stakeholders will be the Retail Excellence and Store Design and Planning teams, and you will coordinate across Digital and Technology on solution delivery and maintenance of these systems. You will support the execution of projects from discovery to product execution including design, development test, deploy and support.
In your new role as an Engineering Manager, Store Experience, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Growing and leading a software engineering and operations team consisting of internal Pandorians and sourced labour in the development of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Employing in-depth knowledge and skills to provide technical oversight across D365 and related products, reviewing and analysing solutions to support continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, performance, scalability, monitoring, security etc.
- Developing and implementing best practices and standards for development, testing, and building processes in support of Agile methodology and DevOps practices ensuring procedures are followed consistently across products.
- Implementing and owning monitoring activities and supporting schedule after hours to ensure reliability of our applications.
- Promoting and leading QA automation efforts and code reuse (where possible) while managing development iteration plans.
- Managing customer support issues by being the designated POC for product operations and working with cross functional teams in implementing tactical and strategic solutions to maintain stability of applications, restore services quickly and avoid recurrence.
- Coordinating with product managers in the organization to ensure alignment with the business goals and priorities, and customer expectations are met for performance and functionality.
- Coordinating with Delivery Management to ensure team follows and adopts agile ways of working and work can be appropriately sized, burn rates can be calculated and capacity is appropriately allocated to the different activities within the team.
- Handling day to day staff management issues, including resource management, and allocation of work within the team.
- Familiar and becoming expert on latest Microsoft Releases, liaise with vendors from a technical perspective and ensure adoption of latest D365 features that are fitting for our business.
What is needed to succeed?
We are looking for an engineering manager who has some hands-on engineering experience in Microsoft Enterprise Applications with focus on D365 products full life cycle implementations from previous consulting & advisory roles for ERP (for retail industry ideally). Please apply if you have experience of working with Onsite/Offshore, Internal/Sourced teams in Agile setups (SCRUM, SAFe or similar) and background in implementation and management of QA automation tools.
Additionally, we are looking for professionals with:
- Strong knowledge in Retail and relevant certifications on D365 Commerce, Finance and Operations or Customer Engagement and deep understanding of Dynamics 365 ecosystem
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant process of Retail on SCM, Finance and Planning
- Experience in designing scalable and reliable engineering standards and ways of working
- Knowledge of complex integration landscapes and experience in leading teams through transformation and simplification of solutions include Biztalk, logic apps, data lake and other third-party integrations.

Your new team
You will manage a team of software technical consultants, application, and QA engineers, and oversee their delivery of enhancements of the application to support additional functionality and introduction of these applications to new markets, particularly in EMEA.
