As part of building Pandora’s Digital strategy in Copenhagen, we’re looking for a Director, Enterprise Architecture that has a critical impact in achieving Pandora’s growth ambitions of doubling the size of the business and creating a digital foundation for customer engagement. This is an exciting role that will set technology strategy and develop engineering culture across the enterprise.


As the Director, Enterprise Architecture, you will partner closely with senior and executive leaders across the company to drive the digital transformation of Pandora with an agile mindset of continuous improvement and delivery. As a leader and people manager, you will build and support a high-performance team of the most senior engineers and architects in the company. You will inspire them deliver results through coaching and leadership that builds trust, engagement and belonging.



Your Role as Director, Enterprise Architecture:


  • Lead and develop a high performing agile team of principal engineers and architects with a culture of servant leadership and a bias towards delivering measurable outcomes. Ensure Architecture is not an ‘ivory tower’ function, it should be anchored in solving customer problems and driving outcomes.

  • Sets and maintains enterprise engineering and architecture standards that enable agile teams to rapidly deliver efficient technology solutions to drive business outcomes and growth 

  • Work with technology leaders to develop engineering standards that raises the bar for engineering excellence improving efficiency and NPS scores.

  • Conduct design reviews and learning forums to foster a culture of learning and coaching. Ensure that all technology initiatives are designed or licenced in a manner aligned with our standards and strategic direction

  • Work with strategic partnership management to select technology partners and ensure technology procurement decisions are aligned with enterprise architecture and engineering standards.

  • Support relationships with strategic technology partners and ensure they are aligned with our direction

  • Maintain a direct relationship with innovation initiatives across Pandora to provide technical expertise and insight

  • Build strong working relationships across multiple business and technology teams to collaborate and remove technical complexity starting with the customer and working backwards


What is needed to be successful: 


  • 12+ years of proven track record and expertise in working with engineering and cross-functional partners

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience designing mission critical services using a modern technology stack supported in an agile DevOps model

  • 5+ years experience with a major cloud platform like Azure or AWS

  • 10+ years’ experience building and leading teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. This leader is a talent magnet recruiting the best and the brightest. Highly experienced with mentoring and coaching

  • Creative data driven problem-solving and decision-making skills. Track record of solving complex customer and business problems in an iterative way using Agile principles

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver with quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple global cross-functional teams

  • Self-aware leader with strong communication skills with the ability to lead and manage change in a global organization. Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences and influence technical and business teams

  • Passion for continuous learning with a curiosity to dig deeply to identify the root cause of complex problems.
