As part of expanding the Pandora Digital and Technology organization in Copenhagen, we are looking for an Integration Engineer.



Your Role as an Integration Engineer:


As an Integration Engineer in the Integration Platform team you will be working on new technologies setting the standard for how to best utilize event based architecture, APIs and other integration capabilities. At Pandora we are working on creating more compelling consumer experiences and building solid and flexible integrations is a key enabler for this.


This team is new and you will play an important role in building the team. The team will set up and develop the integration platforms, ensuring services are available.


This role will focus on enabling our product team to enhance velocity by providing easy-to-use integration services, guiding and supporting in reviewing integration architecture. The interaction between product team will happen through integrations, putting this team at the heart of data exchange.


The Integration Engineer will work with data integration capabilities, platforms, and guidelines as well as support the architectural roadmap ensuring new technologies are reviewed to better serve current and future use-cases. Working across product teams the person should quickly understand business requirements to provide the right guidance and support.


This role will be responsible for ensuring we are able to enable the product teams in producing high quality solutions, enhancing developer productivity and performance. This role will work actively to build self-service as an integrate part of delivering the data integration capabilities, driving standardization through guidelines, support and coaching.



Key responsibilities:

  • Experience with high availability tier 1 integration platforms, e.g. EDA, API gateways and other capabilities,
  • Develop, evolve on integration technologies and integration best practices.
  • Ensure high quality and reliability of the data flow through the integrations using metrics, monitoring and maintenance of the integrations
  • Contribute to engineering standards
  • Set the standard of the engineering culture and uphold the processes that will shape the future of the integration area
  • Work towards the SLA’s with event streaming and API management
  • Actively participate in daily, weekly & sprint-related team meetings and brainstorming activities related to the project issues, collaborate with development and involvement in QA/testing and launching of E2E implementations.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior engineers.



What is needed to succeed:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a technical individual contributor on software development projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Java or .Net
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with
    • Cloud integration platforms
    • Kafka/Solace or similar platforms
    • Building and orchestrating APIs as well as composing API guidelines
    • CI/CD processes, large scale integration deployments, micro-services architecture
    • Spring Boot or similar frameworks  
    • Kubernetes and EDA
  • Highly motivated and self-starter approach to job with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Inquisitive attitude and passionate about problem solving.
  • A thirst for knowledge, strong initiative, a positive “whatever it takes” attitude and a proven ability to successfully work with other team members across departments and levels of authority.
  • Solid communication skills: able to understand and balance perspectives and find common ground between parties across divides.
  • Adaptable and change-resilient, working well in a dynamic fast-paced global environment, accepting new ideas and initiatives and making positive use of opportunities presented. Consistently demonstrates the ability to adapt interpersonal style to suit different people and situations, showing respect and sensitivity towards individual and cultural differences.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in setting up and managing an event-based architecture as well as API gateways, while also balancing priorities to utilize other integration components.
  • Strong understanding of the prevalent integration platforms in the market and is curious to stay up to date and try out new technologies.
  • Experienced with various CI/CD process and tools GitLab, Containerization technologies
  • Customer focused attitude, setting high standards for work quality and quantity as measured by value delivered (and promised) to customers.
