As the Director MDM, you will be responsible for managing and governing all enterprise master data, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that the master data meets their requirements. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing processes and controls to ensure the quality of the master data. You will be engaged with several product lines and be expected to gain relevant understanding of the primary products and how they consume or product master data.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all data governance inquiries, issues, and requests
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure buy-in and support for data governance initiatives
• Serve as the liaison between the business and technology to ensure that master data requirements are understood and met
Master Data Quality Management:
• Define, document, and enforce policies and procedures related to the management of master data
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data quality control processes
• Monitor data entry and update processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
• Generate reports on data quality metrics and present findings to senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with relevant teams to implement changes
• Manage projects related to the implementation of new or improved and processes for managing master data
• Support the ERP transformation journey together with the program Data team
People management:
• Train new and existing staff on the use of master data management tools and processes
• Build and maintain a professional team including stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data management, data quality management, data governance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Master and or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
• Experience with big data platforms and or databases
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlikview.
• Experience with data quality assessment and cleansing tools, such as Trillium or Talend
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools such like Informatica and Purview
• Familiarity to integration tools such like Boomi, which we today use as master data hub
• 7+ years of experience working with data in a business environment
• Expertise in data analysis, data mining, and data modelling
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one major statistical software package (Python, SAS, R, etc.)
• Solid understanding of database design principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Project management experience
