The Director, Project Excellence will play a key role in executing our Global Operations Strategy, optimizing project delivery, and driving long-term success. This role is pivotal in shaping Pandora’s global project management and ensuring operational priorities are achieved with precision. 

  

As Director, Project Excellence, you will lead a team of Project Managers and Consultants in Copenhagen and Hamburg, providing coaching and leadership to ensure successful project delivery. You will develop processes, standards, and governance to enable excellence and ensure global initiatives are delivered on time and on budget. Key accountabilities include: 

  

  • Oversee and drive the execution of global projects aligned with the strategic objectives of Global Operations, ensuring seamless integration across regions and business functions. 

  • Spearhead the delivery of the Global Operations Strategy, focusing on cost optimization and revenue enhancement, while ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement. 

  • Lead the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process on behalf of Global Operations, with a specific focus on the Fulfilment and Delivery roadmap, managing changes within the global Distribution Center network to optimize customer commitments, reduce operational costs, optimize freight and duty expenses, and minimize carbon emissions. 

  • Lead and facilitate Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Excellence meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams within Global Operations and other key business areas to ensure alignment, progress tracking, and effective execution of strategic initiatives. 

  • Leverage external insights and industry benchmarking to identify best practices and innovative approaches, driving continuous optimization and operational excellence within Global Operations. 

  • Develop and nurture talent within the team, fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes growth, collaboration, and leadership development across a global organization. 

  

A dynamic and results-driven leader with a global mindset 

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader who excels in fostering collaboration and driving alignment across all organizational levels and functions. With extensive experience in global organizations, particularly within the retail, fashion, FMCG, or management consulting, you will leverage your expertise in operational efficiency, financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making to optimize processes and maximize capacity utilization. Your strong commercial business acumen will enable you to deliver impactful results with integrity and credibility, always prioritizing what is best for Pandora. Your resilience and adaptability will shine as you navigate diverse perspectives and cultures, fostering collaboration and ensuring commitments are met. Additionally, we hope you can demonstrate: 

  

  • Over 5 years of leadership experience in relevant roles within global organizations 

  • Preferred experience in the retail, fashion, FMCG, or management consulting  

  • Extensive knowledge from global project delivery, and a strong track record of operations projects and optimization initiatives. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and project management tools such as Monday.com and Big Gantt 

  • Familiarity with methodologies like Prince2, Agile, Scrum, and Six Sigma
