Director, DevOps & Operational Excellence

As the Director of DevOps and Operations, you’ll lead the charge in defining and implementing world-class DevOps processes, tools, and practices across all domains. This pivotal role goes beyond development—it’s about creating seamless end-to-end operations, optimizing L1 and L2 support, and driving efficiency to reduce MTTR. Key Responsibilities;
Leading a Global Team: Oversee DevOps, Service Excellence, and ServiceNow functions across Denmark and Poland (32 FTEs: 17 internal, 15 external).
Drive DevOps Strategy: Define end-to-end DevOps processes, tools, and practices for all domains; establish KPIs and reporting for maturity, adoption, and effectiveness.
Foster Collaboration: Partner with engineering leaders to ensure consistent DevOps practices and accelerate adoption.
Innovate & Automate: Champion next-gen automation and AI-powered tools as part of Pandora’s Automation Agenda.
Advance Operations: Evolve Service Excellence and SRE processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce MTTR.
Leadership & Coaching: Manage senior engineering managers and provide strategic guidance and mentorship.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with DevOps, SRE, and ServiceNow providers and partners.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate on faster deployments, release management, and IT support through ServiceNow.
Stay Ahead: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Technology or similar
- A minimum of 10 years relevant technical experience
- Strong background in DevOps practices and hands-on experience with industry-leading tools for version control, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Solid knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its application in IT service management.
- Operational Excellence: Deep understanding of service operations processes, tools, and best practices to reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution).
- Ability to lead global teams and collaborate effectively with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and automation trends, including AI-driven solutions for DevOps and operations.
Your New Team:
You will report directly to the VP, Tech Strategy and Foundations and oversee DevOps, Service Excellence, and ServiceNow functions across Denmark and Poland (32 FTEs: 17 internal, 15 external).
