As part of building the Pandora Digital Hub in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Delivery Director within our Delivery and Planning Team focused on Colleague Experience and Supply Chain. As the Delivery Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all initiatives within the  Coll. Exp., SC tech and Core tech, ensuring the delivery of the required outputs and outcomes within the agreed budgets and timeframes. This will require building effective partnerships between the  Coll. Exp., SC tech and PI team and the business units the team is dependent on for the successful delivery of our digital products.


Additionally, you will maintain transparency and provide timely and accurate visibility of status, progress against product backlogs, and managing progress impediments.  You will work closely with Product and Engineering Directors to ensure a close, effective partnership on strategic direction, plans and budgeting. 


Your role as Delivery Director:  


  • Oversee and drive the E2E delivery of all initiatives within the vertical, ensuring the delivery of the required OKRs, outputs and impact within the agreed budgets and timeframes
  • Work with the other Delivery Directors to establish a delivery CoE – and constantly work on how we improve our ability to deliver on expected business outcomes, e.g. by identifying dependencies, ensuring business readiness, conduct needed sequencing and prioritization
  • Partner with VP for technical domain on plans and roadmaps aligned to company strategy, incl. identifying, shaping and proposing new initiatives  and additional funding
  • Lead, challenge and educate business and Product Tech teams on how to improve delivery by thinking E2E
  • Build effective partnerships not only within own vertical domain, but also with business functions, P&D LT colleagues and towards internal end users to understand how to implement solutions E2E
  • Participate in implementation and enhancement of delivery model(s) e.g. agile frameworks – and role model the behavior and approach
  • Work within agreed governance and planning process and report status and traction –ensuring proactive reporting, i.e. trouble shoot and identify root causes to delays immediately and seek to mitigate these onwards by establishing a learning and ‘I need help culture’ culture.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles including agile funding, and support domain VP throughout these cycles
  • Manage cross team (Product Line, ART, project) risks, dependencies and key decisions
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, status and progress to key stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with strategic vendors providing resources, expertise and software
  • As required, programme manage cross functional/team initiatives involving D&T and other areas of Pandora
  • Work with piers from product management and architecture to ensure enterprise capability maps and architecture documents are developed and maintained to guide the overall delivery of digital transformation
  • Foster and grow a culture within the Delivery Management team which celebrates collaboration and continuous improvements, in order to drive delivery efficiency up while reducing time to deliver and cost of implementation
  • In collaboration with P&D LT colleagues, drive ongoing competency development ensuring constant alignment with market trends and trends within Digital & Technology, as well as the rest of Pandora
  • Work with the D&T strategy team and PMO to ensure 1 year and 3 year roadmaps are maintained and tracked
  • Accountability for delivery assurance/health assessments of all initiatives being delivered
  • Manage the Delivery Managers and SCRUM masters within the delivery domain
  • Review and refine delivery plans (aligning with Product Roadmaps) and support the Delivery Managers in their delivery planning process.
  • Work with the Delivery Managers to track capacity and performance of agile teams against commitment, building a view of performance over a period of time and identify areas for improvement
  • Manages resources so they are deployed as needed to meet capacity requirements. Work with Product and Engineering Directors to identify additional capacity needs and re-balance workload across teams, as needed.
  • Keep track of budgets and ensure strong financial discipline to process and budget review and governance across team members
  • Carry out interviewing for new/additional team members, as required
  • Supports induction and on-boarding of new joiners to make it a positive start



What you need to succeed:


  • 10+ years' experience of leading delivery of agile programmes and products, in Scrum Master or Agile Coach roles
  • Strong passion for retail, supply chain, e-commerce, or technology / digital
  • Qualifications in
  • Scrum.org PSM, Scrum Alliance CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • SAFe (optional)
  • Extensive experience in leading delivery teams in digital product environments, using agile and scaled agile models / structures (and identifying when and how to use different approaches).
  • Has experience working with OKRs as a framework to measure success of product teams, within a Product environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of agile methodology and practices (Scrum, Kanban), ideally, including effective scaled agile frameworks and ways of working
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills within a fast paced and changing environment with multiple dependencies
  • Excellent analytical skills and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Able to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to effectively support the delivery flow of multiple teams within a portfolio, leading to sustainable improvements over time, and to manage internal and external risks, issues and dependencies (and removes blockers that affect teams’ ability to deliver).
  • Strong communication skills and able to engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues.  Can effectively facilitate difficult discussions within and between teams, and with diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate technical understanding and competence to enable them to have credible discussions with Tribe members
  • Able to continuously improve and shape the delivery approach used to be most effective
  • Able to lead the Delivery community to continuously review processes and seek improvements, experimenting with new ideas and encouraging a mind-set of experimentation.
  • Experience of good practice in planning, driving sensible consistency across teams. Demonstrated ability to manage complex internal and external dependencies, to plan sequence of work across, and to manage / resolve dependencies outside of the Product teams and Product lines
  • Able to think strategically, establishing clear direction and implementing plans to deliver within a digital product environment
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence teams effectively, particularly in complex and challenging environments, e.g. multiple suppliers, multiple locations, changing priorities
  • Takes teams’ development seriously, taking required time to set objectives, gather and synthesise feedback and deliver clear developmental messages. Ability to coach, guide and support the development of team members and able to provide feedback in a way that is meaningful
  • Can navigate the organisation and has the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly motivated and self-starting with a personal drive for continuous development
